Hello James, this new series is a great idea and that is a beautifully rendered oak tree. My suggestion for other trees would be a silver birch because of the white trunk which might be difficult to simulate, maybe you could demonstrate drawing it or any other tree using the negative spaces. I also wanted to thank you sincerely for all the tutorials you have made. You were my go-to teacher when I first got my iPad 18 months ago and you really got me up and running with the technology very quickly. I would recommend your channel to anyone who wants to learn how fine art can be produced in the digital world.

Love love love this one. Back to the basics with just a nice pencil sketch. So organic and cerebral. So much you can do with just lights and darks. Simple and very much from the soul. Would love to see you continue these types. Maybe do a series on just textures and the different textures you can achieve with different strokes and values etc.... trees are great for texture, wood, grasses, rocks water etc.... Great stuff James.

I wanted to say thank you for all the amazing tutorials. I enjoy all of them (this include the co-operative projects). I took my last art class when I was 14 (lost the drive during a drawn-out traumatic time ). I purchased an iPad pro last year, downloaded ProCreate for bullet journaling. And somehow began drawing again after way too many years. I found your videos and have fallen in love with drawing again. You explain things so well. You have also opened my eyes to the world around me--I now see the many shades of color even in snow! Thank you so much.

James Julier Art Tutorials I really enjoy your tutorials and this is a nice enhancement to the landscape paintings. You suggested we provide ideas on what we would like to see, I would love to see a perspective painting with trees and such. I have loved the landscapes that are build from back to front, but would love to see tutorial that has elements that crosses from background into foreground, either a stream with trees, or maybe a mountain that beaches forward. But please keep up these tutorials they are so incredibly helpful. Thank you.
