Awesome video! I am pretty sure if you select “only draw with Apple Pencil” in the Apple Pencil settings you can avoid those annoying random finger lines on your drawings!

I've been drawing for years, I know all about layering but for some reason It never occurred to me to separate parts of the line art onto different layers, like the black shadows, hatching, veins etc. I might have used a layer to add one particular thing but never categorized it, even though I do that sort of thing with colouring all the time. Now I feel stupid :D

That's not your case. But 50% of people who use procreate cannot make either a straight line or even a circle. But he gets some decent jobs thanks to the various help from the system. Then thinking of being artists, even talented ones. 🤦🏽‍♂️ If you then put them in front of a blank sheet of paper they look really rubbish. There was a video that showed some of these pseudo artists in front of a blank sheet of paper without making any cuts or editing to the videos and the work was ridiculous to say the least. 😂

I am sure that there will be a lot lost when only drawing digital. You don’t have to redraw as much so you are missing out on practice…it’s a bummer 😅🙏🏼🙏🏼

honestly none of them do have any kind of lag when drawing with the apple pencil 2, i own a 5th gen Air and its gorgeous. Perhaps its an ipad pro, which has a 120hz screen, it makes the strokes look smoother. But to be honest, I tried both and its almost the same, the apple pencil is pretty good

5:52 in Procreate there is an option so that only your pencil can make a mark. Also you can still use your fingers to create selections and so on, only pen / brush strokes are affected, no more accidental marks.

Do you do this completely from memory? Or do you look at something as a reference? I have a hard time envisioning what something like the eyes would look like in my head. I also wonder how you get the painting smooth without making it chunky. You are talented. I guess this comes with massive amounts of practice. The way you move your camera at yourself is kinda funny to me for some reason.

I've recently stopped using the ipad. I got so used to be able to scale my drawings to adjust bad proportions and zoom in for small details that when i switched to paper I found myself trying to zoom and getting the proportions right was really difficult.
