Anti-static finger cots that prevent finger prints, they are awesome for anyone who is doing glass or LCD replacement. No finger prints means less time per repair.

The iPad 4 is similar, but the cable connections are different. We currently are in the process of producing some new training videos for that device, but there's not one up at this time.

@ThatGuyHieuThai They are finger cots and used for dealing with sharp edges. You may want to consider purchasing a set if you are going to do this repair on a device with shattered glass.

With any repairs, you always need to be careful. Apple devices are very sensitive. However, the aluminum body is one part that really isn't too hard to deal with. It will likely bend a little, but just make sure that you don't bend it out of shape. Just take your time removing the panels and you should be fine.

@jazzo44556 It would depend on your level of comfort, personally I would start with an iPhone 3G screen replacement before starting on an iPad. Oddly enough since the device is larger, it is more difficult to handle when getting into the removal of the cables.

@einHOCHaufWISEGUYS You do not need to use a heat gun for this. We show the removal of the mid-frame to which the glass digitizer is adhered, you will probably need a new mid-frame if your glass is damaged.

im thinking of ordering a new digitizer panel for my ipad so i ca fix it myself but ive never done this is it safe for a beginer to do this?

@elvenSeer using 3M VHB or 300LSE tape in 1inch or 1/2 inch width is the best option. We are currently attempting to source the tape in quantity so as we can sell it on our website. When purchasing the glass, simply purchase the mid-frame as well; our mid-frames have the adhesive already applied (leaving you to peel the cover from the dbl-sided tape, then install the glass digitizer to the mid-frame). The ribbon cable for the Power/Volume runs along the right hand side of the iPad, it is recessed into the backplate but does come near the rim. You may have cut this cable when removing the original glass. You can check that cable if you want, or you can send it to us and we can give you a repair quote. 18004404693
