This journey on the iPad has led to so many plugins and incredible apps like AUM. This app has so much to offer and I use it primarily for performing live with the iPad as my live performance instrument. I’m also featuring some premium sounding apps from Moddart, Audio Modeling, Midiculous LLC and some inexpensive hardware.

Sir, that's one of the best Rhodes I ever heard and that Steinway, too. Been watching you since buying my IPad in '23. Didn't know we could use that Gospel Musicians effects rack separately from it's VST'S. Still got a lot to learn, but I've got my eyes and ears open paying attention. I find this video useful.

Sounds great! I use AUM for live playing every week at my church. I can pretty much get everything and more through AUM that I can get on Sunday Keys.

Nice! Which midi keyboard do you use?

Wow. I'm just about to dive into AUM and this was extremely helpful. Thank you. I do have a newbie question. I work with a 10th Gen iPad and I connect my midi keyboard using USB C through a powered hub. However once I've done that as far as I know I'm stuck with sound just coming out of my iPad speakers. How are you getting your signal out? It's beautiful!

How could this be used for spoken word backup? Are there suggested setups available somewhere? Are there other apps that might work better?

What have you been using as an alternative to AUM?

I’m curious if you would like or use AUM. I’ll post a tutorial of how to set things up in AUM and see if it’s something you’d like to get into. Sunday Keys has some great features like the “snapshot” that AUM doesn’t have. If only there were a perfect compromise. It would be MainStage for iPad. C’mon Apple 😆

What about the gospel musicians MKSensation Xtreme
@seljoypro
@seljoypro 6 ай бұрын
@@lmayes69 so MIKSensation can do what AUM does in terms of layering and live performance. However, I found it to be a little unstable on its own. AUM seems to be a more stable environment for MKS to run in instead of running it in standalone mode.

I've been using Sunday Keys for about a week now (used it in one service so far) and love how hyper-focused the UI is for live worship performance, which by necessity means it's not going to be as full-featured as a typical DAW. However, I'm keeping my eyes on possible alternatives (like AUM) because I have been experiencing some reliability issues, which to be fair, I'm not sure yet if SK is the culprit. Namely 3rd party plugins (in particular Pianoteq) simply going AWOL with both the plugin's audio and GUI just disappearing at times. And randomly losing connection with my MOTU M4. This is with a brand new Air M2 (which is dedicated ONLY for live performance) and a robust powered USB hub (Anker) with plenty of juice for all my devices. And of course, as much as I like SK - I am developing a long list of hopeful improvements Lol...

Hello, thanks for the video!Is it possible to work with a playback in this program?Can it play wav or mp3?Is it possible to assign a playback to one channel and a separate click to another drummer?This is not possible in sunday keys

Hey Sel! Thanks for the video. How would AUM manage a setlist with multiple patches comprising splits and layers? For context, I'm playing a yamaha 73 key and A500-Pro 49 key combo at several cover and original music bands, and being able to program patches is paramount. There are some gigs though where I would like to go with the smaller controller only, plus the Ipad.

I recommend Apple’s USB-C AV dock that has a regular USB and HDMI port. That allows you to connect USB hubs and also an external monitor. My setup changes from time to time as I’m always trying out a different configuration. I picked up this dock that adds more peripherals to the iPad. See the link to the dock in the description.

Thanks for the feedback and support. I’m glad you’re enjoying the iPad journey. I’m blown away by Moddart Pianoteq 8. For years I’ve been a Mac guy and I’ve invested in quality libraries for that platform. To see this level of quality come to iOS is so inspiring.

Thank you so much for this video. It is well presented and most informative! I am just getting started with AUM and hope to get my midi connection to Modx7+ sorted. Currently somehow I can only receive on channel 1 (even when sending on other channels on Modx.. we shall see! Thanks again.
