I accidentally left my Paperwhite in the plane while traveling with my toddler, so I need a new e-reader. I was considering splurging on the Scribe, but after seeing the price compared to the iPad, I had difficulty justifying $400 for an e-reader. I might get another paperwhite, but right now I only have my laptop and that's it. Someone mentioned there's a matte screen protector you can put on the iPad mini and it considerably improves the glare on your eyes for long reading sessions. I might get the mini and keep my receipt. 😅

Definitely keep the receipt lol. I agree if you were looking at getting a scribe might as well go for the iPad at that price. The glare free screen protector definitely is a must with the iPad !

I own both the mini and the Kindle. Love both but Kindle all the way for reading, especially because I travel and use Libby to download books.

I have a mini and a kindle. I love them both but if I am just reading I think the kindle is better because it’s lighter and smaller and fits in almost any purse.

I've been trying to downsize so if I had to choose one for reading it would be the Kindle. I have the iPad Mini and the Kindle, however when I am really settling in to read a book for a few hours, the Kindle is much easier on my eyes. Great video.

I have the iPad Mini 6 and I love it and I will continue using it. But I am thinking of getting the Kindle paper white because the iPad does have so much that I get busy on it and do not read. Maybe if I have the Kindle then maybe I will actually read more. Also my battery goes dead so much as well. What are your suggestions?

You can change the greyscale and white point with inverted classic on the IPad and it feels like a kindle. You can also assign it to the home button with a triple click. With my slight ADHD the only way I could enjoy a book is in tandem with audible at 1.75 speed (keeps me concentrated), little pricey but it’s worth it. The real question is what size iPad would be better. I’ve actually tried all their sizes and came to the conclusion that because the ability to change the size of the font it lead me down to the iPhone 😳.

Hi, your video ended up on my recommendations since I have been thinking about kindle or iPad. This was the most simple yet detailed video I have seen so far!! I might go for iPad since I draw as well as read sheet score. Mini is perfect for me if I didn’t play instruments, I cannot read sheet score on tiny screen 😂 Thank you for the video. It definitely helped my decision making!

Other pros of the ipad over the kindle are: 1. If you still plan on using the Kindle app/kindle unlimited and also use audiobooks via audible, the Kindle app has Immersive Reading, which the kindle itself does not. This means that you can read along while the audio plays (the book will be read to you and each line highlighted). 2. The ability to have other library apps on your device. Most Kindles work with Libby but if you use other sources like Hoopla, you can access books/audiobooks from there, which you cannot do on your Kindle 3. If you are a book reviewer, it's infinitely easier to review books from the ipad. The kindle's typing interface is very slow and laggy.

I have tablets and a kindle. I spend the majority of my week staring at screens. The kindle is all i want to use week nights. Tablets are great for drawing, my personal finance apps, catching up with family, and any media on Libby where I want to have a color display.
