Had mine since launch. The camera system on it is nearly worth the price even now. That ultrawide lens nearly is like a GoPro. 4K video is still good too.

How's the battery life over years?

@@f32945 although the original battery is down to 84% battery health, it still lasts all day unless you open a really intensive app or game. Recording 4K video doesn't even drain it that fast either. I thought about replacing the battery but I feel like the original battery has at least another year to go. There's a slight chance that if the 16 Pro Max isn't a big enough jump for me to justify upgrading, I'll push mine another year through iOS 18. It really is still a great device and does everything I need it to. All the videos on my channel have been filmed on this thing. Thought about getting some old iPhone 11s as they're cheap and smaller. Almost a better deal than a GoPro if you don't need extreme durability. Even then there's a lot of cases out there.

My DIL gives me her old ones when she updates. She gave me this one your talking about. I think my current hand me down is a 7. I element to an “phone” Store today and they wanted to charge me $79 to transfer my info. My DIL Says I can do it myself just follow the prompts. I’m afraid i might loose all my data and passwords. I have my Apple ID password and my 6 digit code. Can I do this myself? The thing I worry most about is I don’t know my passwords for FB etc and will my auto pays also get transferred? Thx!! 🙏🏻

I prefer the form factor of the 11 PM. It’s easy to hold, light and great size. The notch isn’t even that bad imo. If it had 5g it would be perfect tbh

I know right. The 11 pro camera was perfect. I don’t know what happened m. The 13 pro series and newer cameras do this weird filter thing where the picture looks great then it transforms the picture and makes it blurry. I have the 13 pro max and I’m switching it to 11 pro max, because of the accidental touch issues and the camera filtering thing.

I've had several iphones since the 11 series, and the reality is, the X, XS and 11 design is just better than what they put out today. the cameras on everything after the 12 are like a tumor on the back of the phone. I think I may sell my 14 pro and get one of these and have the money left over for some Airpod pros. Sleeker, lighter, feels great in the hand, and still performs well.

Hey, i‘m hoping to buy an older gen Pro Max Iphone (Coming from a Samsung A70, i‘m used to a 6.7“ phone), is the 12 my best option? It seems still pretty up to date and is already getting cheap. Altough i want something for the next 5 years or at least 3-4 years. Or should i spend more and get the 13 pro max as it‘s gonna get updates for longer?

@@zombaldag9337I say you should go for the 13 pro max. The pro motion display is nice the battery life is outstanding. My phone after a full day doesn’t hit below 40% and the cameras are the best (in terms of 12 mp pictures) . If the price doesn’t meet your budget then the 12 pro max isn’t a bad option at all. Only con it’s the display at 60 hz but that’s a preference for me.

I have 30 days to send it back if I change my mind. On the other hand, I will be keeping the phone as long as possible. Keep the 14 pro max fs. You’ll get software for next probably 5-6 more years and has much more modern features that can help you in serious situations like crash detection and via satellite. The camera is also much better and same with battery life.
