I just got the iPhone 12 at 256gb after 5 years with the 7+ at 32gb. I chose to put my money towards storage versus the telephoto lens and the added RAM since I don’t expect to get much use of the cameras. I think this is the most future proof choice and best bang for my buck.

Can’t believe this phone is already 9 months old. Time does fly and doesn’t forgive. It’s been amazing phone honestly. It feels good. You honestly don’t need anything else. The cameras are good and also, they’re pretty good when it comes to holding their value a lot longer.

By the way, not sure if you know this, but I know you like to use your phone for photography. If you are taking night mode shots handheld then the number of seconds is locked to 3-10 seconds which even that produces amazing images, BUT if you prop your phone up on something, or have a phone tripod, when totally stabilized, the night mode then unlocks the 30 second exposure option and it is literally un real man, like pitch black night sky turns back to blue with this option turned on! Its insane! Not many people know that by using it handheld its locked to 10 seconds max, and most users don't even know the 30 second night mode option exists! Try it out I'm telling you its like magic!

Talking about the water resistance, I got the notification that my phone got wet and decided to just let it dry for about two hours and problem solved. Just always remember to never plug it in.

Actually it's more prone to scratches than previous iphones. Tougher the glass difficult to shatter,but easier to scratch.

I switched from the 7 to the 12. I love it! But I do miss 3D Touch. Even while typing right now I feel that the force press on keyboard worked so much better than the long press on the spacebar. 3D Touch was really amazing, I wish it comes back :’(

While the screen is much more shatter resistant, it scratches MUCH more easily. I usually use a case with no screen protector with no problems, but I’ve only had this one for a month and the screen is super scratched already, with a big chunk out of the middle 😞 I’ll definitely be replacing the screen at some point in the future, which I’ve never had to do before.

He mentioned battery life at 11:30 . I also have the 12 and mostly use whatsapp, youtube, discord and Instagram and get around 8h of screen on time. That’s enough for a day with my use. However, if you plan on using a lot of 5G, play games for 3h a day and then record 4k for an hour it’s not gonna be enough

I have a Pixel 2XL and I am torn between the Iphone 12 and Pixel 5. I feel like I can get more life out of the Iphone12, but some of the features in the Pixel 5 are very enticing. I use my phone mostly for conference calls, regular calls, video calls with my Daughter , picture taking, and web browsing.

Since u said u will be keeping the phn for 4 years than I would say go for iphone 12 (if u will be using 5g for most of the time since it's coming soon) or otherwise go for 11 pro as there isn't much difference (in performance I mean, u won't notice any difference)
