Hi David, oh please do! This was the first historic racing event in the UAE and it was amazing to see all these Group C and F1 cars in action. I hope to get track access again for the next one in November.

Oh wow that shot at 1:37 looks so much better with Filmbox.

I’d really like to play around with the full version of Filmbox but it’s pretty expensive just for some tests.

Absolutely stunning. Have you tried this with low light footage?

I haven’t yet! But I should! That’s an excellent idea.

Yeah I’m impressed with it, overall they have an excellent emulation plugin. It’s just quite expensive. The free version I used is limited in features and also only up to 2K resolution.

Looks STUNNING! A lot of work and passes and stacked stuff to get this kind of results. If there was an easier way to do it, that would be grand.. one click granding, perf, gate weave and film look conversion. Awesome work🎥💪🏻📽

Beautiful! I use the BeastGrip DOF adapter for my channel as well! Very addicting! This video is something special. Motivates me to film more.

Thanks! It’s such an interesting tool to shoot with and a lot of fun. It creates such a unique image and instead of fighting against some of its problems, I wanted to use its characteristics to help create this look.

Been waiting for this. Great comparison Rich! With idea of emulating s16 or s8 the lens distortion from the MK2 blends in with the overall look

I have received the DOF adapter MK2 and i’m actually very disappointed, it is impossible to get anything sharp, and at it’s sharpest it’s not even sharp at all. have purchased the canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0L USM lens It was unacceptably unsharp so we went back to the store and tried out the canon EF 35mm F1.4 L USM II. The same unsharpness. No matter what we do it stays so unsharp. Why is this? Is there something wrong or is this quality decrease normal and to be expected?

Which phone are you using? There was a modification done for the iPhone 12 and 13 series, and you’ll need the updated version for these iPhones. It’s still certainly not sharp edge to edge but it should be sharp in the center.

Ah, it could be that you have the older version. It would be worth getting in touch with the store again, and/or Beastgrip customer support about it.

You nailed the super 16 look. Impressive this was done with a smartphone. Of course, you know your tools and the correct workflow to get these awesome visuals. Great job!
