Had an iPhone 13 pro, bought the P6pro; went on vacations and the 4x was amazing, the texture in the mountains and lakes was awesome. iPhone is miles better on video no doubt, but for pictures, Pixel always won.

That Pixel 4X zoom is arguably the best in the industry ATM. Excellent. I have both of these and use the Pixel for photos and iPhone for video; sorted!

Yeah, and plenty of natural bokeh, which should be good for portrait images, even though the software portrait mode in the camera doesn't support the 4X.

@@a-ray114 In terms of the S22U, the 10x, it is the furthest reaching for sure, and at that range arguably the best in the business. The 3x is very good, but at 10mp it looks a slightly overprocessed when directly compared to the 3x 12mp of the iPhone for example. So I'd say medium range the 48mp of the Pixel is the best, and at long range the S22U.

I own a Pixel 6 Pro but I don't like how the video looks completely different from the pictures it takes. I love the natural look of the pictures, but video looks overly warm and saturated. That's not consistant at all. Still hoping for a big camera update.

As a Pixel 4a user, I think Google has two things it needs to improve on across the next few models. Better manual shooting, currently I use ProShot which is now becoming further and further ahead of Google Camera in video (just better auto and detail + manual is nice). The other thing is for sure improving processing for those who just need a video with great exposure. That 4x telephoto is so nice, most cases it seemed nicer than even the main sensor.

The pixel does some weird color change in video, it’s super contrasty and saturated if they make video look like photos it’s would way closer to an iPhone and the pixel pushes the contrast levels so high you can see the artifacts

The iPhone video is sharper when zoomed, the colors and dynamic range is also better on the iPhone on video but the pixel video also looks great, I think with the next generation pixels they'll improve it and it might be comparable with the iPhones. In terms of photos, Pixel takes the best photos hands down If I had to choose one, I'd choose the pixel cause I think the video is great but could be better.

I left 12 Pro Max last year for the Pixel 6 Pro, the 6 Pro camera especially the 4X is so good. However, I'm wondering if the iPhone 14 Pro camera this year will match it, as I believe it's going to be 48MP instead of 12MP, if so I'd go back to iPhone as I miss the face unlock and security side which was better. Waiting to hear more news re 14 Pro & 7 Pro and will be a hard choice this year as I upgrade yearly... Cheers 👍🏻 🇬🇧

Having the 13PM, after the 8+, 6, 5 and 3GS, for the first time the camera App is so frustrating with its aggressive Enhancing, that only looks good as a thumbnail. I use Moment and Halide but opening them, even with a shortcut, takes time and FaceID unlock, which the standard app does not need. If you take multiple Pictures in 10x or 15x in rapid speed and then go quickly to the photo gallery (bottom left), you see the unprocessed (and much better) version for a second, before apple ruins it forever. Same with RAWs

Owned all the Google phones since the Nexus 5. Still I would love to see a comparison like this with the Google Pixel 6 Pro which I currently own against the vivo x80 Pro. And when you take still photos put it in this ice camera mode to see who has the best natural looking photos. Great video by the way.

Let´s be honest: The P6 is with the 50 MP Sensor clear Winner in Photo with natural Bokeh (Not tested in the Video i think) - without Using Portrait Mode. I like the Photos so much and with the RAW Option you can do much more with the Pictures. Video Improvements from P5 (i use) and the P6 are great, sound also! But finally the 13 pro has at this time still the best Video Mode. Crisp, Clear, nice Colors. P7 could be the Step forward for Google in this Point. BUT: At the Moment, let´s Say, the P6 Pro costs in Germany around 750 Euro new. The Iphone 13 Pro with 128GB around 1100. Lets be Clear: Bring the 450 Euro Difference in the Game, then you have to Choose the PIxel - except you are in the "Apple Cosmos" with MacBook Pro - Apple Watch and so on. Then you are on the Iphone Page. Both are great Phones and at least the personal preference and the Price might be the Key Points, which one you will choose.... Have a good Time with the phones and save those Special Moments!

For video on the Pixel, something like Filmic Pro is a must. Shooting with the Tele lens adds a real cinematic touch which you can force on in Filmic as well as turn off EIS and later on stabilise with software or us a gimble or both. I will say that I find the default software on the Pixel to be too basic. I think it does a good job a lot of the time andq they do have Pro features that many people just wouldn't know how to do (action pan, long exposure and astrophotography) but it would just be nice to have more control. I've had the Pixel roughly 2 months after launch and I'm surprised how little the camera has been updated in all of this time. I still think there's a lot more Google could be doing to get even more from these amazing sensors.

This is the sixth Pixel and video quality is still that bit short. Google have ability to really prioritise video. Social Media is heading to that so it seems incredibly short sighted that they don't offer better modes for it. Also there was no low-light video examples.
