No they don't lmao. Most batteries capacities are actually higher than what they're rated. Thus, the battery drains but the phone still shows 100% because they have excess overhead. It's not software artificially limiting the battery percentage to 100%, it's just above the range it measures. If percentages went up to 105% for example you'd see it dropping the whole time.

After watching the video again, I believe that the iPhone has a major issue with thermal management. Samsung did a great job at improving their cooling system on the S23 Ultra. The Pixel 7 was quite impressive considering that the Tensor G2 is based off Exynos. I'm not surprised by the iPhone's behavior, rather amused. The whole concept of iOS and the iPhone is that it can't do more than 1 thing and forcing the device to do 2 shows that it can't and the HW resource distribution has absolutely failed. While MS teams took more RAM and processor and because it was prioritized, the game had less and less HW resources, so you could see the absolute unplayability of the game, because the system can only do 1 thing at a time. Aand of course the effort to reduce power consumption limited performance.

One could also argue that the test was specifically designed to showcase the RAM of the S23U and Pixel 7, even if there is no practical, real-world benefit. There is no logical reason to run your GPS, a Teams call, a 4K video and a game all on the same screen. But if you want to make phones with 12GB of RAM dunk all over one with 6GB, it does that beautifully.

@@Erdie5 u can't multitask anyway on the iphone, but on the s23 is absolutely necessary, you can connect with a monitor and use it like a desktop with 5 apps running at the same time for example, Alo for the longevity of the device, the future versions of android will focus on multitask because of larger screams. I think the objective of the video is show that the iphone isn't the powerhouse like a lot of people think, and show the capabilities of multitask of the s23 or simply heavy stress in general. Samsung has been shiiit for the last couple of years. Samsung fanboys are dumb. This year is an exception. Most of the time Samsung is the worst phone you could possibly ever game on due to the trashynoss chipset. I am writting this comment right now on a note 10 which lags even in pubg medium settings whereas even an iphone 7 takes it like a king high seetings no lag.... and no it isn't the only game like that genshin is another example. Up till s23 all samsungs have lagged.Something is wrong with this video. Iphone NEVER lags like that. Either the battery is bad which makes the phone have less power and overheat or it is a bug and somehow the ram gets consumed. Let's not even talk about the fact that the test only covered one game.

I think it is the ram in the iphone that is killing it. It can't compress the background apps anymore because it's all running at the same time. Anyways, happy to see Samsung doing so well. tbh not really. if the ram was the bottleneck, it would have been a laggy mess from the start. the fact that it started to lag out in 15 min, and went unplayable at 19 means it's cuz of thermal management. the chip slowly cooked itself in just 15 minutes with no way to get the heat out since iphones neither have a cooling chamber nor vapour chamber. and since he didn't stop to let the phone cool itself down. it just couldn't manage to regain safe temps.

Excellent test my man. This is the way to actually test the real life performance of the phones. I feel like everyone likes to say "benchmarks are just benchmarks, they do not reflect real life performance" but do little to nothing to actually test things out. I hope this form of test starts trending.

@ArnikoGiri maybe not the s23, but there are androids that run the game at 120 fps because asphalt had a partnership with them, furthermore the s23 is running it at a higher resolution which would also take more processing power

Please pin this. For anyone out there thinking it's the RAM, then I'd like to tell you the programs that are written for ios are completely isolated for laptops, ipads and other devices so they consume less memory. Where as when it comes to android the programs are large in size since they're written in a way so it's accessible either on laptops or phones, means they share same computer language. (I know I didn't use correct terminology but I tried to make it understandable). Henceforth androids always have higher RAM than iPhones

The iPhone’s processor is capable of playing games quite well But Apple prioritises the safety and longevity of their components so it starts acting right away to save the components from damaging due to overload It’s like a little safety barrier that u can’t surpass. The Samsung shows better results cuz the phone doesn’t have much of a barrier stopping it from running its fullest Which might sound good but it’s a terrible idea In long run the Samsung will probably be the first to need battery replacement and repairs. But if u look on to the specs sheet the Samsung does have a slightly better processor than the iPhone so I don’t know but The iPhone dimming its bringtness soon than the other two phones is actually a good thing , it might be frustrating but at last it is trying to save itself from potential overheating and damage. Apple is smart sometimes u know 😂

iPhone owner by any chance ? All phones have software to protect the battery , the issue was caused by thermal throttling of the CPU, the apple was dropping clock speed to protect itself causing the lag, so the issue is either ap5ples cooling or chip design,
@SreejithKSGupta
@SreejithKSGupta Жыл бұрын
Dude had never heard of thermal throttling before I guess... Take a pixel, and record videos for 10 minutes in direct sunlight, and you will see "Apple's smart phone saving tech" in action for an android device. the ability of the phone to run without frying itself is better in S23U than ip14, and hence the result. if you did the same test with s22U, you would have seen that Samsung is "smarter" than Apple and Google. So, your unpassable barrier in IOS and none in Android is absurd. also, there is something called "cooling the phone" by using things such as vapor chambers or copper pipes, same with batteries, like graphene stripes, which allows the battery to accept heat at a much higher rate, without damaging the battery or phone. crying instead of blaming Apple for not implementing any such thing (thermals is not an issue actually, the A16 is quite capable, this is an extreme case, but battery is BAD) because they want maximum profit, and hailing them for taking 1.5 hours for full charge is not a bright idea
