it's great to see some comparison with a different brand. These blind camera tests are fun to watch but it would be even better if you guys have a set categories to reduce unintentional bias. EX) daytime-ultrawide/main/zoom/portrait and night-UW/main/zoom/portrait. As you mentioned in the video, the score would have changed dramatically if less of pitch dark main camera samples were included. If there were more night ultrawide shots included, im sure the score would have been changed further.

unless for the super zoom, please don't do any cropping. a camera system need to take consider everything in the viewfinder. without cropping i thinj the oppo night shots are better as it doesn't flatten the whole thing, where iphone just used 5-30 sec shots to take in as much light as possible and then flattens the curve.

@@yassinibrahim5616 No, but apple is taking out the most of the sensor, apples proraw 48mp are superior to any other smartphone out there, these pictures jsut look good, no oversharpening and the details are sometimes better than samsungs 200mp mode (and everytime better in lower light) also maxtechs blindtest showed that the zoom is quite good despite it only beeing a 77mm 12mp small 1/3.5 inch sensor. now imagine apple having a bigger zoom lense also with 48mp or whatever. In short, apple hasnt the best hardware, but is taking out the most of it, and android smartphones have the best hardware to compensate for worse software.

I'm not surprised by the results. I get very similar results with my iPhone 12 Pro Max and Sony RX100 Mark 4. Being in Canada where there isn't a lot of sunshine between November and March, I use my iPhone 9 times out of 10 year-round.

Oppo 20 Iphone 13 Oppo clearly won, although they have to work on the nightmode in extreme low light scenarios. The Vivo X90 Pro+ with may overall still be the better phone for photography although the zoom lenses and the ultrawide are using a smaller sensor than the Oppo. Butthe lenses and the lens coating from Zeiss respectively developed with Zeiss along with the V2 ISP chip of Vivo make it better than any other phone. Would love to see you making a comparison of the Vivo X90 Pro+ against the iPhone, although the iPhone doesn't have change winning but would be interesting to see how big the difference is. But you have to use the Zeiss natural colour mode on the Vivo as it gives very, very natural colours. For iphone fans maybe to flat, but for fans of a natural dslr like looking photo they are perfect most of the time!

12 for iPhone and 21 for Oppo. iPhone gets above 10 due to some ultra low-light shots which takes more time and brighter on iPhone. I don't wanna give these points but it won't be fair if I didn't so.

i don't think he used the night mode on oppo😂 oppo takes in so much light already it tends to stick with snap&shot unless u intentionally activate the night mode. on all cameras, i tend not to use the night mode as it is too artificial.

The Oppo maxes out at 1080p 30fps video on it's selfie cam and it has a COMICALLY awful portrait mode. The rest of it's so so video abilities are unchanged from last year. It has no 8K on offer either.

It'd be less biased if you choose all your preferences BEFORE revealing identity of any phone; i.e. choose all photos first. It's obvious as you choose one-by-one and reveal identity each time you learned which camera has what qualities and adapted your preferences as much as you could toward Apple to balance your results even tho the Oppo still outscored it.

Great comparison as always. I played along & preferred the iPhone’s images mostly. But not for all. The larger sensor of the Oppo really makes a big difference in many situations. Having said that, the iPhone holds up pretty well, and does some things better with their hardware & software integration. Imagine if Apple put a one inch sensor in their iPhone Pros? 🤔 I’d like to see THAT comparison. Also looking forward to the iPhone 15 Pro finally getting a better telephoto lens. They’ve really fallen behind to most others in regards to telephoto. I’m an Apple user, and fully immersed in the Apple ecosystem, so I’ll never abandon my iPhone for an android. But competition is good for all us consumers 👍🏼

Another great video. If you don't crop in to the shots in the last few night shots, you'll love the Oppo X6 Pro as it's more natural and reflects the better contrast in night scenes than the iPhone, which simply just over expose to brighten the whole scene. The X6 Pro is definitely more DSLR like and doesn't feel over-processed or plasticky like the iPhone.

I’m surprised in some of the comparisons the colors are so close. So iPhone sometimes = hasselblad colors. Usually with pixel and Samsung iPhone colors look really off but here, quite close. I do prefer oppo colors still though. Maybe better micro contrast or gradient to the sky. I prefer noise to noise reduced artefacts. And color over sharpness. One question I often pose. Does the oppo do hlg photos delivered in dolby vision like the iPhone? I’ve been asking bing ai but nobody seems to write about it so there’s no answer. Btw vadim the iPhone ultrawide is wider. Different focal length. Not the oppo is more cropped in. Usually you guys will say it’s wider, simple is right. I tot you guys compared cameras in the past life.  goes 13mm ultrawide. Edited: bing ai seemed to have done more research. Only iPhone 12-14 have dolby vision hdr photos. The x6 pro and s23 ultra sadly does not.

the iphone is excellent in consistently eliminating color cast, getting neutral colors and evenly exposing images. but in doing so can also kill the 'trueness' and 'feels' of the moment. 13:56 is an impressive shot captured by the x6 pro.

The Oppo has quite basic video abilities including a front camera that maxes out at a woeful 1080p 30fps. It isn't in the same league as the IPhone 14 Pro Max video wise despite that big sensor.

Iphone definitely needs at least 10x telephoto lens. Several times though Iphone lost for having background too blurred, which could be adjusted. Photos were close except for telephoto (Oppo), night mode ( Iphone).

Slightly depressing if you are waiting on the iPhone 15 Pro as the camera has probably already been finalised and I'm not sure it will match the Oppo. Apple are falling behind Android now when it comes to cameras. Another example is the iPhone's zoom which has been subpar for a while and, it is going to be disappointing that even the new periscope zoom on the 15 Pro Max will probably not match the Samsung S22/23 Ultra.
