I’m an iPhone at main user who is lucky enough to buy and try all Too Android phones and agree with all your comments. Had the beating issues since launch day but 17.03 solved it for me and really feel like this is the best iPhone yet (as stereo typical as that may sound) lol

Great iPhone 15 pro Max update video! Good news to hear on the overheating situation, not heard any news about the notification sounds that disappeared with iOS 17. I know I lost all my custom ringtones and notification tones. My cell will carrier is back ordered until second week of November on the pro Max, bummer. Keep up the great work

From what I understood about the issue, it was caused by background app refresh setting. There was a coding issue on the new OS that caused background apps to over use the cpu and cause the heating issue

My experience in 15 promax is great no overheating issues battery speakers screen burn etc.. for example screen and speakers I don’t use it at its peak if it doesn’t need to instead I prefer lower for normal use ..I love the camera, I don’t use all day social media (1-5 hours/day) also I prefer 4g instead 5g and so far no issues. For my needs it’s perfect and I love it

Ok so in all other words what you’re saying is the update is now safe? I barely got mine thank god but this is why I always avoid updates I don’t like new update issues, I was nervous to buy the pro max after all the complaints but it’s pro max for me or nothin I love the pro max and I have to say I’m pretty impressed so far, my 13 pro max is still like brand new after two years if I didn’t pass my phones to my daughter so she could get a couple years out of them too I would have just kept using it or traded in for the $580.

I changed from s23 ultra to iPhone 15 pro max. No issues with the phone and camera now it is the best in class the light shadows perfect for photos.as you know Vedio stabilised best. Better I would say clean and classy

The fold 5 has a not so durable build, overheating and smaller battery with less performance. The 15 pro max is the way to go

To much hassle for me to experiment with it (for that price it should just work), what i noticed is when it gets hot, the both sides of the phone gets hot too, not a fan of new finish. One thing to add i have 256GB unit - not sure if that makes any difference@@valismind

The 17.0.3 hasn't fixed it for me. I can just be sending messages in the stock Messages app and the phone is getting so warm it's uncomfortable. I really am suspicious of this being a software issue, as why would this only be happening to the new phones? Older iPhones are also on iOS 17 and people have those apps like IG and Uber, etc. I'm really disappointed but I'm stuck in the iOS ecosystem so I'm feeling like I have no options. I sold my previous phone, so all I can do at this point is return this and see if I can find a used 14pro or 13pro that still has decent battery health.

@@neilmcguinness4422 Thank you. The thing that worries me is that it's hard to reproduce so I'm feeling like Apple support is going to try to brush this under the rug. The thing that's most worrisome is how it seems to be sporadic among the iPhones. Some people seem to have the problem and some don't. I don't know if there's manufacturing variability or what at play, but I suspect Apple will treat it like if not all the phones are having a problem, then according to them, none are.

I think we're going to start seeing this more as displays get brighter. Mine is fine, but wouldn't be surprised if it does happen later down the line. OLED is OLED.

The phone has no cooling. That's why the heat issues. The only way to fix that is to slow down the processor. People should benchmark the phone to see how much apple slowed the phone.

Other KZbinrs have tested the benchmarks following the update to address the heat issue (the heat issue was mainly caused by the IG app and one other) it was not necessarily an iPhone issue. In any event the bench mark test showed ZERO THROTTLING BACK OF THE PROCESSOR.

It was a very real problem, and was concerning. I think it's a good idea to wait a while prior to purchasing regardless to see if there are any issues and wait for them to get sorted so you have a better experience.
