I've been using my 14 Pro since day one and I can't believe that my battery health is still around 91% lol. In the very first months the phone was really frustrating. Constant overheating, bugs etc. But now, everything has been starting to go off pretty buttery smooth. Looks like I got lucky because most of 14 pro users don't have the same experience as I do with my 14 pro. I'm hoping to keep this for around 3 more years then upgrade to a newer model..

100% capacity. HK model and I always used 80%, maximum light, Apple Watch, never used Power saving mode, always avoid going under 20%, never charge during the night and always using quick charge. If I compare to my previous 14 Pro Max, the battery was 80+%

Mine is used multiple times a day. If phone Orientation is Landscape Left, start recording a video. If phone Orientation is Landscape Right, take a photo with the back camera, copy that photo to the clipboard, and delete it from the Photos app (useful for when wanting to quickly take a photo of something and send it to someone). If phone Orientation is Upside Down, trigger a fake call to get me out of awkward situations. When phone is in Sleep Focus, turn on Sleep In Mode in HomeKit to prevent blinds opening in the morning and waking up the kids. When phone is in Video Focus, turn my Apple Watch to Cinema mode. Otherwise show a menu with the options to: - Toggle house alarm - Toggle front door lock - Toggle garage door - Schedule a message to send later - Toggle AOD

I've got the 15 pro and have had it since october 2023. I have it set to 80% charging limit with 236 cycles completed and still have 100% battery capacity. It does still overheat sometimes especially when I had it plugged in & updating to ios 18, and when I get in my car on a hot day and set it down on the leather centre console. I've noticed that when I plug my phone into the car I will sometimes lose connection which I'm sure of that being an issue with my phone's charging port and not the wire itself. Apart from those things the phone works perfectly fine and I'm happy that I waited for the 15 series to come out before upgrading off my iPhone X.

That is actually the best way to kill your battery: battery wear happens mostly when charging from 80% to 100%

After two years the battery life still shows in the 90+ percent. I have had my iPhone 15 Pro Max for almost a year now and charge it to 100% throughout the day and rarely let it drop below 85%. I just checked and my battery is at 98% health. I’m on the latest iOS beta too, so it was updated in the past week.

I bought the 15 Pro Max to use as my main phone after using androids as my main phones and an iPhone 4 for so many years! (I have many iPhones but I haven’t used them as my main phones.) It’s the only phone I ever got where I just wasn’t excited to have! The thermal and battery issues were enough to make me almost hate the thing and regret buying it. Also the switch from android to iOS and losing all of android’s perks were not easy for me. Anyway I’m sitting here typing this on my 15 Pro Max, it has gotten much better through updates and I’ve gotten used to it! However, if iOS 18 isn’t anything good (which it doesn’t seem bad according to the leaks) my next phone is probably going to be the next Samsung Flagship of the year I will decide to upgrade!

I thought about purchasing an iPhone 15 Pro Max but the one thing that concerns me is, will it stay in your pants pocket? My iPhone 15 Pro stays in my pants pocket without any trouble. I always keep it in a case and screen protector on the front. I only upgrade every two or three years. Now that I have an iPhone 15 Pro, I am saving for a new iPad. I have the money. I just need to take the time to go to the Apple Store and pick it up. But I’m thinking about just depositing the money into my account and ordering online. When I go to work, I use my phone to listen to the radio broadcast of the game so I know what is going on. By the time the fourth inning comes around I plug my phone in so that way it starts charging. But as someone who operates both Sighted and Blind, that button has become my new best friend for (de)activating VoiceOver (and is appreciated by my wife too, when she needs use my phone for whatever reason while in VoiceOver).

iPhone 13 pro max here and I'm stuck at 89% battery health for almost a year now. That being said, I'm usually agree with you to not always wait for the next release, but when we are at ~3 months away from a new iPhone, I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy an iPhone 15 series at full price unless your current phone break and/or you have no choice to buy a new phone now.

Regarding the Action Button, I use it multiple times a day and it's changed how I use my phone. I created one shortcut for it that does different things depending on which Focus is active and the orientation of my phone. Everything from opening my garage door to scheduling a text to triggering a fake call to escape awkward situations.

i am also fisrt use on late october 15promax now i'm at 220 cycles and i used 80% limit since day 1 now i'm at 98% so yeah it works. the cyclr count lower maybe due to having 80% limit and it entice you to stay off your phone alill bit more which helps. i fast charge with 30W macbook charger and cable and i always check by picking up the phone if it's hot i take it off the case and hold it in my hand until it's cooled down (i do use my phone while charging too)

Came from an s22 ultra to a 15 pro max, won't be going back, literally best phone i've had, 0 issues. Battery health is 100% after 150 cycles, couple of reasons I'm guessing is mines a china model, I've heard that that the india models have worse battery health. I also do not use wireless charging which can impact battery health. All in all, best phone I've ever used.

Did we ever get the reason for the heating and how Apple fixed it? The Action Button is pretty useless. The Red Button on my ThinkPhone is more productive. Bring back the switch. Silent on the Button isn’t full silence. . Let’s see what value the 15 is after WWDC and if any of the new functionality precludes the base 15/15+ models.

For my iphone 15 pro max it clocked up 223 cycle count with 98% capacity. All I did to maintain it was to charge it till 80% and use only iphone charger to charge my phone. No wireless charging or any other method to charge.

How does it make sense to charge your phone only up to 80% only because of battery degradation unless you want to use it for 10 years? It will take years until your maximum Capacity goes down to 80%, so instead of using 92% now, you prefer to use your battery as if it was 5-6 years old? Usually battery degradation shouldn't be linear, so in 16 months I guess you shouldn't be at 76%.

Battery degradation is largely a function of heat, yeah? main thing is not using the phone while it's charging and not letting it fully discharge. my battery health has been 100% continuously for like 3 iPhones now and I do not use 80% battery limit. my friends who have bad degradation are usually the ones who let the battery totally die or who game with it while it's plugged in

I know you take it personal defending Apple when someone else says experiencing iPhone issues you don’t experience , since more often than none you never express having similar issues like the rest of us and that’s great….so lucky you.👍 As for the titanium, is not titanium, if I’m allowed to express that. It is instead the regular aluminum frame of other regular iPhones with a heavy paint metal coating of titanium embedded to the aluminum casing with the name iPhone Pros. But not titanium as the marketing strategy from Apple. Lastly, perhaps Apple should have much better quality and if possible bigger size batteries, because there’s so much a software can do, but poor and small batteries life span will degrade much more faster than usual. Software is to optimize and preserve the amount of life in a battery but if it’s too small and not so much good quality well we know with or without iOS update is like battery gate for some more than for others. Just a thought I hope I don’t get torn apart here…. lol

To be fair you have got a point with the titanium, but apple have used more titanium in there 15 pro/max than Samsung as with the S24 Ultra, obviously most would of thought it would be full titanium but that would cost a lot more for sure and as for battery we defo need a 5000mah battery now

And yes, a better battery chemical update or something would minimize life span degradation, without leaving everything to a software update that can only do so much in a long term, if there isn’t installed an appropriate size capacity battery with better chemical composition to prevent as well the constant overheating when iPhones are heavily being used for present and future demand usability.

I love my pro max, I use a case to protect it. I got the blue one and you would notice the scratches so I protect it. My battery is 100% had since launch, I just don't degrade it by trying to use it on charge. I use phone till it goes 0-10% and charge it 100%. Using any battery on charge will screw it up

No issues with mine. A few heating ones at the beginning but good since then. Have to say, I dont like Apple's camera. It doesnt capture my darker skin tone well at all. It's Apple's processing that messes it up because it looks fine before it goes through it. They need to improve the camera to shoot skin tones more accurately for sure. It's great for nature shots and basically everything else though.

Battery health is best when you keep the phone from heating during charging. Typically 40-60% battery to plug in, rarely using strong fast charging or wireless chargers (induction)

i used to not to like iphone, but this time they're doing it right. if iphone is now capable of running RE: village and RE: 4 remake (even if it's not full quality) but still that's a powerful one, none of android can run that. the optimization of OS also amazed me, as a user of android for 12yrs what i noticed is in iphone you don't need to tweak too much, in android you need to tweak much which is hassle.

What I really think is, 3D video recording could be coming to iPhone 16 standard as well, you see the leaked cases and everything show the camera placement is not diagonal anymore (good for shooting SBS), but until they have some Apple vision for 800-1000 or something, as 3500 is outrageous. Some of us just want to enjoy immersive 3D experience for entertainment (playing back what you shoot on iPhone, stream a game from MacBook, watch a movie), maybe make it use MacBook chip for processing (not a standalone one).

I use a iPhone 14 from April 2023 and the battery capacity is still 100%. The only way to preserve battery life or capacity, is to use your phone less frequently, nothing else.

I’m at 100% max capacity and I’ve had my phone since last October or November and my cycle count is at 167. I use my phone all day at work as I’m addicted to KZbin and now the Delta app. I don’t leave it charging all night. I charge it a bit on my way to work with about a 40 minute commute using a USB to USB-C cable. I charge it here and there with the fast charger when it gets to 20% when I’m home but I hardly ever charge it to 100% lol. Always afraid to check battery life 😂

But yes for the 15 series the Plus model does have the best battery life by a good margin

I’ve always only charged my iPhones to 80% and my iPhone 15 Pro Max right now is still at 100% battery health, when I gave my iPhone 11 Pro Max to my wife when I bought this phone it’s still at 96% battery health because of charging it that way.

Hi I use the action button to mute, I use it every day because I don't have my phone with me all the time, it's away from me, especially at night, I have my phone at the other end of the room, no need for excessive radiation, no interference. and the alarm clock has to ring further away from me too, so I use mute every day. I have both iphone 14 pro max and 15 pro max, both are very good to use, I even like stainless steel often more than titanium, I guess I feel that way. Thank you!

What am seeing from rhe comments is that it is advisable to keep it at 80% limit. I have the Iphone 15 and it is at 87% with 372 cycles.
