Unless these phone photographers want to start investing in profoto lights (which is currently the only brand of lighting right now that can trigger with a cellphone) we don't have to worry. @incubus_the_man11 ай бұрын
It would be better to get a $500 mirrorless or DSLR camera than an iPhone for video. Phones aren't really designed for it. They can shoot great outdoor footage but they lack low light performance. A real camera allows you to use a variety of lenses and you have better control over the exposure. You also get a better log file (or RAW) to work with in post. Comparing the $30K cinema camera to a $1K comments camera or mirrorless would be a better comparison.

It's better to get a Mirrorless camera like the Sony A7iii is one of the best camera's you can buy, It is a hybrid camera that means good for both Photo and Video and it's still cheaper then an iPhone. That final message is so true. And it really becomes obvious when you watch movies that are, say, 100 years old. There are some that hold up SO well till today because they simply have excellent storytelling, and the creators of those movies simply worked with what was available. If they were still alive, they’d put most of us to absolute shame, regardless of the gear. I’m not saying "gear doesn’t matter" because that’s not true, but price tag never equals impact on the viewer.
