7:44 one other bonus of the Blackmagic Camera apps not too many peoples are talking about is 32 bit float audio. Yes this app record your audio in 32 bits float so no problem in load environment or with a too quiet speaker.

Yep you can have a case. Even with the u shape adapter it will allow for most cases

It removes all the sharpening and hdr tone mapping. The average person will love how iPhone looks. But if you want it to look like legit mirrorless camera footage having to shoot log and grade it

Hey Lee. :) Hope all's well. Great shots and info. Thanks for sharing. Bought the Lexar 2TB SSD with the hub a couple of months ago with a pledge on Kickstarter. Unfortunately they're taking forever to send these to people in the US and Canada who did pledge. Supposedly they started shipping yesterday through B&H. So we'll see. 5AM. Off to bed. :)

All of your movement shots were with the native camera app/final cut and they look sooooo good! I know the native camera app has really good stabilization, have you tried/had any issues with shooting handheld in the blackmagic app with stability?

Stability is pretty much the exact same in Blackmagic app. It even has an extra level of stabilization you can turn on

The problem is NOT grading which also involves extra spending for software but its PC or laptop powerful enough to handle ProRes files. Not everyone has Macbook with latest hardware

Davinci resolve is free and you don’t need a MacBook, it works fine in entry level gaming laptops ( half the price of MacBook pro)

Want to shoot actual DNG RAW video on a phone? This is better than Prores. You'll need an Android device, and an app called Motion Cam Pro. The S24 can handle 4K RAW at 50 FPS. You'll need lots of storage tho. RAW is an expensive workflow, but if you're looking mainly at getting the best IQ out of a mobile device it's not getting better than RAW. RAW is RAW, meaning no manufacturer post-processing. The Xiaomi 14 ultra does 14bit RAW on the main sensor with insane frame rates. Personally, if you're looking at S Galaxy line I would wait a couple month for the S25U release. That should enable the S-line to push higher frame rates with that blazing processer rumored to come with. It truly amazes me that people fanboy so hard that when there's a device that enables even more tools, they willfully ignore it if it's enabled by a device or OEM they don't fancy. Nah, be agnostic. You're working for your bottom line, not the OEM's.

Yes, we can shoot log on android too using motioncam. You can check their channel, they compared android log footage to some mirrorless cameras, it was insane. I would like to see that kind of content too
