I just upgraded from the iPhone X to the Desert Titanium 16 pro max, and honestly I’m feeling a huge difference! I feel like a lot of the ppl saying there’s no difference at all have just upgraded too soon for there to actually be something noticeable 😂

Oh yeah that would be a pretty big upgrade! Yes I would say a 13 or lower you're gonna see a pretty noticeable difference. I am still enjoying my 16 pro max of course but even with a 14 you could go either way. A 15 you wouldn't see any difference except the camera button 🥰 but I know people have good trade in values right now

@@n3ch4 it will feel a lot bigger but when I switched from an 11 to 14 PM I got used to the difference pretty quick! I know people get those popsockets or keychain things to help hold the phone too.

The 14 PM was made out of stainless steel so its heavier than the 16 PM which is made from Titanium and the screen size jumped from 6.7" to 6.9". Congrats on your new phone! I'm loving mine!

Yes that makes sense. I know the screen size did change a bit but i didn't expect to see a huge difference since it was a small change in size. However I was pleasantly surprised that it did make a difference! Thank you, you too and glad to hear you are loving it so far!

Thank you! For me I think white is more timeless where the purple was so exclusive to the 14 I felt it kinda became dated and I fell out of love with it I was worried the same with the desert. It's a beautiful color though.

The ESIM is so you can have your usual Carrier on the Esim and a different physical sim for times when signal is not good on usual carrier or if you go abroad etc

How did you trouble shoot the SIM card? I’ll be coming from a 14 pro max also

I had to go onto my carrier website, log in and request an eSIM and then it prompted me through some steps. It took awhile to "validate" and actually set up the cellular on it. I also needed to put my SIM card in the iPhone 14 for it to connect to cellular, request the eSIM and then put the physical SIM card in the 16. Hope that helps! ☺️

@@gabilemoine That's why I did my transfer (from my 13 Pro Max) right in the AT&T store. The transfer took a second try after the 1st attempt wasn't working right. The AT&T rep did something, then it was seemless.

@@scottwexlin6456 yes but I didn't buy through my carrier. I bought it at the Apple Store. I'm sure it would've been seamless to do it there too but it was so busy I didn't want to wait to set it up there

In stores in Australia you can’t even hold the new Apple products. In Australia we still have SIM cards, set mine up easy.

Hello! I got iphone 15 pro max in white Titanium 512 GB in february, so it would be silly for me to upgrade and would be waste of money. Plus i got amazing discount. Thank you for this video. Looking forward to see what cases you got.

Yes I don't think upgrading from a 15 Pro Max is worth it. The only difference would be minor upgrades to your camera and the camera button but essentially it'll do the same things! Im in the 14 Pro Max and dont see that much of a difference to upgrade, will see if the 17 will be worth an upgrade,otherwise my 14 Pro Max is still performing amazingly. It gets me through the day with 40% battery left so i'm good ❤ i find the audio on the 14 Pro Max much louder en clearer in comparising with the 16 😊

I upgraded from the iPhone 14 Plus to the iPhone 16 Pro (Desert Titanium)❤ Today has been my first full day using my new phone and I still have a few things to explore but I don't regret upgrading for the amazing camera quality and trying out the Apple Intelligence for everyday use! Definitely saw a huge difference in the front camera… the image from 16 just looks pleasing.. same goes for the back camera

Oh I'm happy to hear you can actually see the difference. I wasn't sure how well it was translating through my actual camera and then the camera of the phone. I think the color grading on the 16 is much nicer which is a big win in my books! Color grading in post is such a headache for me.

I finally found a video on an upgrade from a iPhone 14 Pro Max to the 16 pro max. That’s what I have and thinking of upgrading ❤ Good review, specially all the new features and the difference sizes and buttons. Also how lighter the feel on hand comparing to the older iPhones from 14’s and bellow feeling so heavy that’s one thing I don’t like from apple phones.

Thank you! That's exciting! Which phone do you have currently? I think white and black are the most timeless colors but the desert one is so pretty! For me I don't get Apple care. I've never used it but I'm very careful with my device. Some people are more accident prone so maybe it's a good idea then!

I upgraded from iPhone 13 Pro Max and had the same physical SIM Card. I had my iPhone 13 Pro Max upgraded to iOS 18 before I switched it to iPhone 16 Pro Max. I did get the eSIM error, but I believe it to be a timing issues where I kept progressing and still was able to activate to my carrier Verizon. I conducted test calls and text and was fine. Maybe the iPhone 14 Pro Max needed to be on the same iOS 18 as the 16? I did notice that the iPhone 16 Pro Max (iPhone 16 models) had a iOS update to another iOS 18 afterwards. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I think you're on to something there! I also noticed that the 16 PM needed another update which is kinda weird since usually they come installed with the latest iOS version. I didn't update the 14 to it as I heard it makes the everything slow down, glitch and overall not god for the 14s! Waiting for iOS 18.1
