I preordered the 16 pro due to water damage on my 12 pro. This tear down makes me very content with my purchase in comparison to the 15 pro. It looks like they made some crucial improvements to an already solid device

The size was slightly increased and the layout of the main board was changed to reduce this size, which freed up space to put in the camera and battery.

one good thing, battery can be replaced from the back and not from the fragile screen

Battery will take you 2yrs before replacement needed. The screen will need only one drop and you need to replace it, takes 2hrs because many internal parts need to remove first before he can get into the screen ( back to the future of iphone 4 /4S repair style lol😂

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 Pro added the option to open the iPhone from the back to make the back glass much more easy to replace and any other internal parts like the battery. I know it's hard to believe but Apple made repairs easier.

The 16 Pro still comes with the pull tabs for battery removal. The regular 16 users electric current activated glue instead

That steel casing on the battery should help stop swollen batteries obviously it’ll still degrade but won’t affect the rest of the phone due to puffing up

Actually if you just replace the screen, you can just remove the screen as usual, we mostly start our teardown from back glass in order to disconnect the battery first
