Written September 19, 2024 Funny enough as I ordered an iPhone 15 512GB from AT&T in Jan 2024 but they only had the 15 256Gb and 14 TB in stock. I ended up getting the 14 1TB under the advice of the AT&T employee and it’s the best decision I could’ve made as that’s plenty storage to fill it with any game ect in my collection. I’m not planning to upgrade until 2030 at the latest… or at least until I lose or break this phone somehow

The 13 pro max in daily / real life usage won't give you true downsides over the latest 15/16 pro (max), in my family they own 14 and 15PM and this weekend I got to test the 16PM so I know whar I'm talking about. The camera quality jump from the 12 pro to 13 pro was big (wide angle much improved as was nightmode) whereas 14-15-16 pro/max seem small incremental updates. Literally nobody cares about 48MP, just looks good on the specsheet. Most people post their pictures on social media which compresses it anyways lol. and even today some people still ask what camera I make my pictures with because they look so frickin good. Dynamic island isn't really shocking either.. who actually cares? (except it visually shows you got a more recent iphone lol) Brightness is more than good enough on 13 pro max. I cant possibly imagine you'd need more, even now I barely ever put it to the max brightness. And 3 years later with 85% battery health my 13PM still easily gets through the day. Depending on wifi/lte between 6-8 hours screen on time which is unbelievable . This is probably my favorite thing since I own the phone. Only thing I really prefer on the 15/16PM (I've held both) is the noticeable difference in lower weight. I could easily afford a 16PM (not trying to sound like a dick) and I do love my tech but it would just be a waste of money. My 13PM has been an excellent workhorse the last few years and until the camera's really show a drastic improvement again I'm holding on to this little beast for a bit longer (as long as the battery continues keeping up with my heavy usage).

Well, I have to disagree with you there. I had a XR as well and I upgraded to the 13 mini when it came out and apart from the fact that I was so relieved not to schlepp around that big and heavy paddle anymore, I was astonished by the camera features of the 13 series! The camera was so much better and I still enjoy it until now! I really love my mini and as much as I would like to get the 16 for the way more better camera features, I personally have a hard time to go back to such a big and heavy phone (but the SE will also never be an option for me). Well, maybe I will upgrade after Christmas, when the 16 series will be cheaper to get with a reliable retailer on e.bay. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The old 12 is stiill a good phone for general duties ( i have a 12 PM too and a 14 PM ) ....... but the models after the 12 , you will first see a big difference in screen brightness which is very nice , and while the 12 can still take good clear happy snaps in good conditions , when conditions get a bit dull , you will see a marked improvement in the camera chops of the later models across the board . I think you will be happy with the difference with a newy bud . Cheers .

As an iPhone 13 pro user, for me there is no need to upgrade to the 16 pro. The Dynamic Island is obtrusive and ugly, the camera control button is just a stupid touch function that can be incorporated into the power button, practically it’s useless, boring colours, stainless steel sounds bad in paper but really works well, and extremely similar design from the iPhone X from 2018!!! Apple intelligence is just like google ai and if that’s your priority get the 15 pro/ pro max which offers better value and mostly similar features and specifications

Nope, not upgrading. Sticking with my 12 Pro. I want the notch island to disappear. Doesn't make since to upgrade for a slighty faster processor, slightly better camera ect. I don't care about colors, slighty brighter displays or a Titanium frame. Time for Apple to do a complete design change. Apple has not been innovating for years. I am thinking of dumping my iphone for the up and coming Tesla PiPhone.
