You won't get the same results with the iPhone 7, even if you use an app. It kind of depends on the quality you're aiming for. Regarding size, I prefer larger phones, but yeah, you definitely feel it in your pocket and everything.

I've got an iPhone 7 and galaxy s7 edge. The s7 edge can do a bokeh effect with selective focus with only 1 camera and software. It works really well. I'm surprised Apple didn't do this.
