Hi, I really hope you can help me, because I tried Almost Everything. I’ve got a Nikon D3400 en the camera doesn’t show up in the ‘accesory menu’ when I want to pair. I already forgot the camera by bluetooth on my iPhone en reset the settings. On this camera there is no wifi in settings unfortunately. Besides that I can’t turn the bluetooth back on in the camera settings, it sais that this option is not avalaible with the current settings of the camera. I hope you can help me!!

Go to the setup menu. in this menu you can see "reset all settings" icon. click this icon. turn off Airplane mode. and click "connect to smart device" icon

@@fleur8710 Apparently you have to wait a minute or two for the camera to show up in the accessory list. It did for me.

If these steps don't work for you, you may need to update your camera's firmware. I went through the steps and nothing was working, then I checked my firmware version and it was v1.1 whereas the newest version is v1.5. I updated it real quick and my camera connected with the app, no problem.

@@melanieannmarshall5416 I had to go on Nikon’s website. Just type in “update firmware” in the search bar, that’s what I did. Once you get to the right spot, you download the file to your computer, then take the sd card from your camera and put it in your computer. Then, you copy the update folder from your computer over to the sd card. There will be two folders from the website download, it tells you which one you need to move to the sd card. Once you copy it over, put the card back in the camera and do what it tell you to. It seems pretty involved, but it’s actually not too difficult.

Wait 60 seconds. It will pop up. I read this on Reddit, tried it, and sure enough it worked. Just give it time for the camera to pop up as an accessory. Count to sixty if you need to.

That happened to me and I had to wait like 2 minutes for something to come up. But if it still doesn’t work then if you have a computer you can just connect the camera to the computer with the camera charger. Then upload your pictures to the computer and email them to your phone :)
