OLEDs turn off specific pixels when they're black so with an OLED the darker the pixel that pixel is probably off which is why OLED has impossibly deep blacks compared to LCD. So same wallpaper would make the test more even. Also yeah I agree with #2, OP6 is 4k60 by default.

This test wasn't exactly fair, the iPhone XS screen resolution is 2K (1440p). And although the Note 9 also has a 2K (1440p) display, the resolution was set to FHD+ (1080p), so in order to have kept the test fair the Note 9's resolution settings should have been set to its maximum potential (1440p). If this test was done the iPhone XS would have won by a large margin and even with the test being unfair and the Note 9 having a significant advantage, it only won by 1 minute. Mrwhosetheboss did exactly this (setting the Note 9's resolutions to max) and the iPhone XS won by 15 minutes. And if were keeping track: iPhone XS Performance > Note 9 Performance iPhone XS Battery Life > Note 9 Battery Note 9 Design > iPhone XS Design iPhone XS Durability > Note 9 Durability (XS is rated IP68 up to 2 meters whereas Note 9 is IP68 up to 1 meter (see EverythingApplePro's water test); initial drop tests have been positive however waiting for PhoneBuff drop test to declare true winner) For camera there haven't been many camera comparisons, but I think it will be either up to personal preference or iPhone XS might edge the win iPhone XS Speakers > Note 9 Speakers (Watch UnboxTherapy's video) Note 9 Display > iPhone XS Display (but some do prefer iPhone XS, I prefer the Note 9 display). TR BLITZ there was another test where the Note 9 was at full resolution and it lost,XSMAX battery lasted like 15 mins more. TR BLITZ mrwhoistheboss set the Note 9s Display to QHD+ and this guy here set it to FHD+. So the iPhone XS Max in this test here had the higher resolution (since the iPhones screen is not 1080p but 1242p instead) which equaled out in a tie (this one minute is in the margin of error) so when you set the Note 9s Display to it‘s highest resolution the iPhone would win easily in battery life ^^ It‘s a trade-off so to say.

Apples SOCs are more advanced due to the fact that they are produced just for Apple devices and Apple devices only so they can be far more integrated into they software and everything on a level the other companies can only dream of but Apple always comes with plenty of downsides too. It‘s always a trade-off and I‘m usually on the Apple side of things even tho it‘s very expensive where I live. (The iPhone XS in it‘s smallest form is 1149€ here compared to 999$ in the USA and 1149€ in $ is 1348,86 as of right now). I wish they were more affordable but for now I will stay with Apple for many different reasons (data privacy and the eco system to name 2 of them)

Also, I have no belief in apples battery life holding up. My ipad which is a year old barley used only hold 80% of what it used to hold. S8 is over a year and a half old and a heavily used. all you apple fanbois should chillax, the XS Max is rocking a 7nm A12 chip, whereas, the Note 9 is rocking a 10nm Exynos 9810/10nm SD 845. and is still android 8.1, while the XS Max is iOS 12, we'll talk in a couple of months, when samsung introduces the S10 and the android 9.0 for Note 9 and S9+, cheers ^^

@@Diego-oe7fy it only matters what the content was being sent out in. If content is sent out in 1080p then both phones will only display 1080p. I have my phone set to QHD and if I go to KZbin and watch a video being player in 480p then my phone will still only display 480p screen resolution unless I go to the actual video settings and change it to 1440p. Feel me? I'm not dogging on the iPhone. I'm actually happy to see what a 7nm chip is capable of as next years s10 and note 10 will be running a 7nm chip also. Just imagine what having a 4000mah battery would do running a smaller more efficient chip set! The note 10 might last 2hrs longer. If that iPhone was running a 10nm chip, it would look just like last years iPhone.

I was surprised that the pocophone with a 4000mAh battery and a display that is not as good as the other competitors died the first, meanwhile it still has a thesame SD845 chipset on board as the rest. Which phone did u use for that time recording..was it the s9 ? Asking bcoz i am very much disappointed with the battery performance of my s9 Drains alot .. and seems like its not reliable at all somedays it keeps a descent level while during some they just drain (with similar usages) Is this everyone's experience?

In all the other battery drain tests that i have seen so far pocophone f1 lasted longer than oneplus 6... probably there is some software issue with it...though GG apple, even with the smallest capacity it lasted as long as Note 9...very impressive!!!

6 months after s9+ in market, battery life is still great. 3500 mah on the s9+ was efficient.
