Got 1 for testing for last 48 hours, doing exactly 300Mh/s on ETH with 0.69% rejected shares, it didn't go with ETC

I ordered a mini classic plus right from iPollo and also one from Belay Mining. The miner from iPollo showed up on Friday and had fan errors right out of the box and won't run, waiting to hear back from iPollo. Waiting on the miner from Belay hopefully it will be here in a week or so. Roughly 15% cheaper from Belay than iPollo.

It's not the fan error, try different pool and initially use Ethernet cable

I did initially use the ethernet cable. Also it showed the fan error on the pool that is pre-loaded. I also sent it to another pool at 2 miners and it did the same error. Did a factory reset and tried everything again with the same results. If I am doing something wrong, I'm not sure what. Any input would be appreciated.

ok, it is finally up and running. ended up doing a live chat with iPollo, it took almost 3 hours, had to flash the miner with different firmware. Works fine now.

You may want to contact ipollo support and see if the etc firmware is compatible. All v-series firmware’s may be interchangeable. I have a G1 mini and loaded the updated full G firmware for improved efficiency on one of the algo’s. On the G, there is a drop-down at the top of pool config for selecting the alto.

I just spoke with ipollo support and they said you need to change something in the configuration section of the interface. They confirmed it can currently mine ETC

Oh really I do not see anything to change in order to move to ETC but maybe I need a different firmware I contacted them as well waiting to hear back but thx for that will keep looking around.

I’ve seen The V1 Mini Classic ram size reported as 3.6 3.8 and 5.0 do you have any idea what the actual memory size is???? Literally every vendor says a different specification

Straight from iPollo's support (I asked yesterday) it is 3.6 for the ETC units and 6 for the eth unit

RM great review and as expected unless etchash is listed as a algorithm I would not go by just ETC because that could just be for the old ETC ETHash algorithm, so many people has been getting confused about this since ETC change their algorithm .. it’s no longer ETHash .. BTW on that site the ipollo B1L said 58Th @ 3000w I thought the B1L is a 60TH @ 2800w ?

How's the invalid shares on this guy? My V1 mini Plus ETC unit has between 5-10% invalid shares and hovers closer to 7-9%

Will look into it more in the next video so far not to bad 0 at flexpool in 24h yards the etc mining I see 4 to 5 % invalids.

@@RabidMiningcool, hopefully they can reduce that a bit on the ETC miners in future firmware updates. Also since you have the 130mh and 280mh version, do you see lower invalids on the 130mh version? Curious if it's just something with them trying to push the 280mh version too hard

The 130mh ETC miner is in the 5% invalid range but still produces a average of 130 to 140mh

So my brother Rabid, they sent you an ASIC with only 6GB VRAM, which can only mine an algorithm which will be probably dead in the next few months and they are kinda not sure if they will be able to make it compatible with another mining algorithm in the future lol Thrilling investment right here :$

Not a fan of the gold color tbh. Good Review otherwise. The only ETC ASICS I’m interested in are the big boys (Jasminer) for maximum efficiency but prices still steep and risky since it only mines ETC after POS.

True atleast it has the option for ETC there are a few ETHash coins I think they can do as well I plan on trying soon. If you decide on a jasminer I got links and a discount code.

Those are cool, but want to get my hands on one of those Chinese jerry-rigged ETH asics that use the apple chips. They are programmable like FPGAs, but apparently have a 1GH.
