East-European here, social dancing is very common and unless you act like a creep or are rude, 9 out of 10 times women will agree to dance with you, that has never meant they want anything more of it. I am a white Bulgarian (Balkan, Eastern European) man. I dance and teach Kizomba. Kizomba is a dance coming from Africa, Angola to be precise that is mixed with Zouk music from the Caribbean. So on a Kizomba social event you can find people from Africa (even in Bulgaria) dancing which to me at least is a good thing. If you have a big festival in Poland it is normal for people from all cross Europe to go to the festival specifically for dancing Kizomba which is a social dance. I was even invited to a gathering in Bulgaria of multiple African countries showcasing song, music and different dances where I demonstrated the Kizomba dance where I had people that have never danced it before do a few steps under my instruction. The African people there congratulated me because they enjoyed my energy and how I danced and presented Kizomba even thought I am a white Bulgarian man. I never pretend that I am African. To me music and dance unites people and I love that. When there is interest in Kizomba even small countries like Bulgaria and big ones like Poland invite and pay teachers from African countries (or the diaspora in European countries) which makes teaching the dance commercially viable and spreads the culture. Whether it is Kizomba, Salsa or Bachata - social dancing involves you dancing with multiple people. This is not random hookups in the club. People know each other in the dance communities. Whether you want to escalate to some bedroom activities is up to the both of the partners. But if you go dancing just for that reason word travels fast.

Kizomba has nothing to do with zouk, what are you talking about. Angola is not influenced by the caribean cultures, many people in this part of africa have no idea what Zouk is

@@Goldniz Angola’s traditional dance is Semba. It it is tied to their fight for independence. Kizomba (which translated means “Party) evolved from the Semba dance and the slower Caribbean Zouk music. This is not something I invented but something taught to me from some of the first people that popularized Kizomba in Europe. I am not claiming that Caribbean Zouk influenced the whole country of Angola. Caribbean Zouk is part of the creation and evolution of Kizomba.
