Hi gents, good luck for the season- except when playing Villa. We were the first to wear claret and blue. A West Ham fan won a set of old villa kits as a prize for a fit race. Burnley switched to c&b in the 1920s in the hope of changing their fortunes.

Fun fact - Villa were the first claret and blues. Burnley adopted the colours in homage to Villa, (who were the most successful club around at the time). West Ham literally got their colours from Villa after one of their players won Villa’s kit in a bet after beating the Villa players in a foot race.

I cant believe the attendance for the 92 match. I really cannot remember there being about 5000 seats empty, but it was a long time ago.
