Nice but noisy! What is causing all the mechanical noises

+Donal Fitterer Hi Donal, looked for you last night at Mid-Ohio. The noise is created by the boat winch motors that that I am using. The open gearing is pretty loud but with the enclosure it is much less than what it was before. I usually drive with headphones on an so do not hear it anyway. My rig is louder than most because it is a full platform and I needed actuators with grunt to lift me and the rest of the steel frame rig. With a lot more money I could have gone with powerful and quiet AC motors but I was building this one as cheap as possible. A lighter frame and lighter driver or even just a seat mover type would have enabled me to use less powerful but quieter DC motors (still pretty cheap).

I was wondering that too - would drive me nuts as I don't use headphones. I have a simple Pagnian V2 motion that's very quiet, you can barely hear the fan if everything else is turned off.
