Robert, TP ran One Lap of America with us in 2018 and 2019. He was one of the most approachable and nicest guys you could hope to meet and spend a week hanging with. In 2019 he and his co-driver Marcus ran with us on a good many of the transit drives. Quite a few of the One Lappers have received and taken Travis up on invites to Pastranaland.

During the 2019 Tire Rack One Lap of America, Travis' Co-Driver was Former Seal and author of Lone Survivor, Marcus Luttrell. The night before running Road America, Travis put out on his social media asking anyone between Nelson Ledges and Road America that had iRacing if he and Marcus could get a few laps in.

It's a great road but the off track limit should be moved a meter out, bit weird getting an off track in no time recored when you cut in places where you have made cutting marks in the ditch. You don't loose a recorded time IRL because you put a wheel off the road.

There shouldn't even be a penalty x for even going offroad. Going offroad should be rewarded for escaping a situation, not fucked over. Fix it Iracing

You don't lose time IRL, but you may lose a wheel...the threshold where road meets the mountain is very high on Mt Washington. I say this from first hand experience

No. The dirt for sure feels way too stable lol. Compared to other irx tracks it actually doesn’t feel that much different than the road.

@@Damageinc84 maybe it was done to allow the cars that normally only run on asphalt and have slicks to have a go at it too (I don't think you can put grooved tyres on, say, a GT3 in iRacing due to lack of a rain system). But also for me, what do I know :P

It's pretty expensive, but well worth it imo. It's a subscription service that you pay - I've found it's good to renew on black friday. On top of that, you're given a couple cars and tracks initially, but you'll need to buy each track and car you want to be on/in - you'll race in a series, and will need to buy the car and tracks involved with that series. You can let your subscription lapse, though, and all your purchases will be saved for whenever you renew again.

Not sure what you mean exactly, but Travis is a several time American national champion in rally. I don't think he has done much in the way of international rallies.

What about the dirt section is it like going on asphalt, only the texture changes? I do not understand that iracing as a simulator fails in something like that, and by God to improve the graphics you are still in 2013 at the graphic level.

iracing has never been about graphics in reality, more about the true racing experience

@@meison81 wdym the graphic lag is very large? If they increase the graphics then a lot of people are not going to be able to run it very well. I'm already struggling to run VR with a 1060 because I don't have the money to get a new GPU right now more is there a gpu to even buy. But there are a lot of people that are in lower specs then what io have. Graphics aren't everything. I much prefer them doing what they are with physics and content then them making it look like its half life alyx where the visuals add to the game. The graphics are more then enough for sim racing even at the lower setting I have it at.

I have a GTX1080TiFTw3 and I have dust particles, crazy lighting, graphics are really dependent on the setup. Though I use oculous most the time. VR online road racing in VR is insane, I don't even drive my z06 anymore. Lol

iRacing's #1 concern is not graphics. that's for console games. This is all about driving realism in the physics with still decent graphics for immersion. when you're driving, you don't pay attention to the pixel count in the leaves on trees lol.
