" What did iran thought the damage could be?" That is a very good question and rarely asked in the media,i think they knew,This is Iran posturing again,iran knows that 200 missiles isnt enough to deactivate or overwhelm the iron dome ,so yeah they try to appear taugh for their proxies and save face after the recent event and humiliation and loss of popularity in the region.

I just want to say this has nothing to do with religion, for the most part. The most you could say is that Iran has some sense of duty to protect palestinians because they are muslim, but they are different sects which historically don’t like each other. israel is mostly secular, although it has some radical religious factions as well, they aren’t the ones really running things right now though. Both israel and iran have very real and pragmatic concerns and both have shown to be rational state actors with their own self interest aside from anything religious. Their actions can be explained purely through pragmatic self interest. israel wants iran taken out before they can develop nuclear weapons and iran destroyed would make israel the supreme uncontested power in the region with nobody to challenge them, as all their other neighbors besides iran and its proxies are either pacified or destroyed (intentionally btw). This is also why they are going after lebanon, lebanon is iran’s leverage over israel, because iran is far enough from israel and doesn’t have the air force to project serious air power against israel, lebanon then plays the role of iran’s defense against israel. iran on the other hand wants to avoid war so they can play the long game. iran needed to respond because 1. they have allies relying on their strength, if they show they wont respond to israel taking out their general in tehran that would remove deterrence and israel would have no reason not to poke them again; it would also tell iran’s allies that iran is weak and unable to protect them 2. iran has benefited immensely in recent times from america’s involvement in the middle east, not intentionally on america’s part, but in the power vacuum from iraq being taken out iran has come in and filled much of the vacuum and become a serious player there. So iran has every interest in avoiding both israel and the US, not only are they a package deal (fight israel and the US absolutely will get involved) but israel on its own has a very powerful air force which will harm iran immensely and can destroy their economy by targeting oil refineries. The solution is for America to put its foot down. I know it sounds too easy to be real but in actuality 1. israel completely relies on the US for its survival so they have no choice but to listen to America if America actually forces them to 2. Iran is afraid of America, for obvious reasons, Iran will listen to America’s demands if the threat of invasion is the alternative. But unfortunately this wont happen and there are definitely factions within the US government salivating at the prospect of war with iran, they have been for decades… just listen to Wesley Clark’s infamous retelling of the “seven countries” document he saw in the white house, this has been in the making for a while.

This is not unprecedented, Iran has attacked Israel multiple times this year alone with missiles. This is the way diplomacy works in the middle east, something happens to you, you retaliate with missile attacks. When Trump had Soleimani assassinated, Iran attacked US forces in Iraq with a missile barrage.

Saying that the Middle East have been fighting eachother for millennia is ridiculous not because it isn’t true but it’s because this isn’t unique. Look at Europe for example, there’s a war between Ukraine and Russia, before that in 2008 there was a war between Russia and Georgia . There was Chechen-Russian war in the 90s and 2000s There was Yugoslav wars in 1991 to 2001. There was the The Troubles in the 60s to 90s. There was Greek Civil war between pro communists and pro Monarchy in ‘46 to ‘49 and not to mention two World Wars. Like sure there several wars going on in the Middle East for millennia but have you looked at list of wars in Europe? There’s so many in each century. The Middle East isn’t unique.

Interesting. You led with "Saying that the Middle East have been fighting eachother for millennia is ridiculous" and then went on to directly admit that the Middle East has been at war for millennia... That statement stands alone as fact, not withstanding what anyone else in the world has been doing.
@oghuzdynasty777Ай бұрын
@@SpazBoysComedy I hear the line “The Middle East have been fighting wars for millennia” So many times. Maybe ridiculous is not the right word for it but this line seems cynical to me. How come we never heard people say “Europe have been fighting eachother for millennia?”. I never hear that line ever in my life but for the Middle East? So many times even though Europe had so many wars throughout the centuries. I guess cynical is the right term , not ridiculous.

@@ridha6711 i think he means : They covet fields and seize them, and houses, and take them. They defraud people of their homes, they rob them of their inheritance. 3 Therefore, the Lord says: ‘I am planning disaster against this people, from which you cannot save yourselves. You will no longer walk proudly, for it will be a time of calamity. 4 In that day people will ridicule you; they will taunt you with this mournful song: “We are utterly ruined; my people’s possession is divided up. He takes it from me! He assigns our fields to traitors.”’

This shit was going on back when Jesus was thrown up on the cross. Romans didn't like Jews. Wasn't that they didn't like Christianity, but more that they feared Christianity was a growing, right wing form of Judaism. You see when a Roman Emperor switches to Christianity, suddenly Romans love Christianity. Romans didn't like jews in the past. There's the entire story of Moses in Egypt which his people were a sect of Jewish faith. So this shit has been going on FOR A LONG TIME.

I just missed the stream. I was scared shitless earlier for Israeli friends of mine. Fortunately, they're all safe. Regarding the future, Bibi has pretty much proven that he takes no shits whatsoever so I don't really see this going any way other than a direct conflict. I'm not surprised it came to this, I've been following the conflict for a while now, and a fight breaking out between Israel and Iran seemed inevitable for me. All I can hope is that the civilian causalities will be low. There's a bit of a meme that every third person in the Iran government is a Mossad spy so perhaps Israel they could quickly cripple the leadership from the inside without much actual fighting breaking out, a bit of wishful thinking on my part. Only time will tell how this will play out. I wish the Iranian people the best, they're really cool people and don't deserve to live under that regime.
