I find it really intriguing that both Project Africa and Limitless have highlighted the intricacies of international diplomacy on a more human level than any news org ever has. And also just how silly borders really are.

Perhaps the most authentic approach would be to fly into Azerbaijan and then return to the border where you originally planned to continue your journey. Alternatively, you could travel through Georgia into Armenia and explore routes towards Central Asia, such as Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan. Both options could help you stay true to the spirit of the challenge while adapting to the current restrictions.

To give you an exact distance from the Afghanistan-Pakistan border to Mount Everest, let’s consider a specific route: Starting Point: The Afghanistan-Pakistan border at Chaman, which is a common entry point into Pakistan. Ending Point: Mount Everest, located at the border of Nepal and Tibet. If we calculate the direct straight-line distance (as the crow flies), it is approximately 1,500 kilometers (930 miles). However, if you are cycling and taking into account realistic roads and paths, the distance will be longer. For example, if you were to travel from Chaman to northern Pakistan (e.g., through Quetta, then to Islamabad and further north through the mountainous regions to the Gilgit-Baltistan region), the distance could be around 1,800 to 2,200 kilometers (1,120 to 1,370 miles), depending on your specific route and road conditions. A more specific estimate would require an exact starting point in Afghanistan and the precise route taken through Pakistan.

After an amazing swim video, the cycling ones are lacking. You barely show any actual cycling and very little of the countries you are passing through. A bit more involvement from Mitch would be cool too. This doesn't look like an exciting leg of the journey, but more like my dad going on a Sunday ride.
