With all the problems happening in the US like this last year's massive inflation spike on food, fuel and housing which is causing millions to have to choose either "heat or eat" or our crumbling streets and water systems or how the largest category of theft is wage theft by employers or how according to a Princeton study Congress listens only to the largest corporations, and those that own them, and never their constituents, CBS 60 Minutes bring us a story on gender issues in Iran. Why? Noam Chomsky called it "manufacturing consent" and in this case 60 Minutes wants to make a war against Iran more palatable to the American people. A war that would bring great riches to the few that own the companies that manufacture weapons and at the cost of not fixing our crumbling roads and water systems or helping people have both food and heat. Paramount Global, the parent company of CBS, is owned by Berkshire Hathaway, The Vanguard Group, BlackRock and Charles Schwab, all of which also hold very large investments in the defense contractors like Boeing, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin. *The owners of CBS and 60 Minutes care nothing about discrimination, only about profits.* This was not so much a news story but more of a subtle way to get viewers to "sign on" to another war in the Middle East. Over 2.3 trillion dollars ($2,300,000,000,000) was spent on the war in Afghanistan, or about $7k for every American man, woman and child. A war with Iran would most likely cost even more. Let's make "America first" and fix our problems at home before we engage in another foreign war.

We should be proud of country and our laws. Our government sometimes is criticizes; however, look around the world we are truly blessed by God. Our nation is generous, compassionate, caring and brave. So let us all rally and be proud and demonstrate how proud we are. Thank God and our Lord Jesus Christ for this. Pray for mercy, peace and above look to our creator and give him thanks every single day just like our founding fathers did❤️🙏

While I wholeheartedly agree with most of what you said, your religious overtones are ironic since it is religious fanaticism that is driving the threats against this country from the Middle East. The world would be a better place overall if religion was completely removed from all human governance.

Religion should have no part of decision making in the government. The founding fathers wanted it that way for a reason
@miriamsierra558710 ай бұрын
@@kailanib185 They did but you cannot deny that the founding fathers were very religious. Benjamin Franklin made a creed which states: Here is my Creed. I believe in one God, Creator of the Universe. That he governs the World by his Providence. That he ought to be worshiped. There is no denying that without God we are nothing. Those who don’t believe have their opinion, however, I do believe in him and my Lord Jesus Christ, his son. Peace be with you❤️🙏

People just want to live in peace. The hawks - whether the Iranian regime or U.S. hawks like Bolton - don't keep us safe. If neither threatened the other, we wouldn't have to worry about war. If governments just let people live how they want to, rather than surveilling and threatening women (for example), then the women would not appear to the government as threats. Peace and freedom breed peace and freedom, threats and violence breed the same.

Not sure I understand... the Iranian Regime, and regimes such Putin's and other murderous dictatorships around the world, will 'always' attack America! Because as long as America is a democracy, then the dictatorships around the world will seek to undermine it, because America rightly inspires their own people to be free! America is the policeman of the world, whether it likes it or not... and the sooner it steps into this role willingly , the better for everyone.
