Iran’s president Ebrahim Raisi killed in helicopter crash

Drone footage revealed the remains of his aircraft as state media said there were ’no signs of life’ found at the crash site. It was a Turkish UAV that first discovered the remains of the helicopter using thermal imaging cameras after it went down May 19.
Search parties spent the night making their way to the wreckage before the news broke that Raisi had been killed, along with foreign minister Hossein Amirabdollahian. Raisi was a religious hardliner known as the ‘Butcher of Tehran’ for his role in executing tens of thousands of student demonstrators in the 1980s. Amirabdollahian was also a hardliner who had close links to the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, which is the hidden hand behind Iran’s proxy network.

It's always the helicopter crash 👀. The annual/monthly/weekly servicing of the dam helicopter wasn't carried out, the pilots weren't skilled enough to navigate the system, the president couldn't afford to top up the entire helicopter with petrol, some random electrical part just gave up on the helicopter. Bs, bs, bs. This helicopter stuff is accepted by the masses because no one owns a helicopter and don't understand how it works, and so it's never really questioned. If helicopter rides are so dangerous, why are they still prevalent? Wouldn't the Iranian president be most likely to travel in a private jet or some sort? He got taken out by those that wanted him dead.

According to Wikipedia the mullahs had thousands of leftist opponents of the Shah in prison. In 1988 they decided to kill them. They preceded this with questioning them about their beliefs to ensure the killings were according to Islam. The women were treated in a certain way.
