As I understand it, when Assad was escaping, he made a deal with Israel that if they didn't shoot his plane down he would disclose the location of all of the weapon caches, which is why Israel has been able to so quickly destroy them.
@PandaPanda-ud4ne3 күн бұрын
I am not sure that a) Assad knew about all of this, because he was more a figurehead of the Regime, not one of the military Leaders, that were OTHERS in his family and b) i do not think that Israel really needed that info, cause they probably knew it already, because you cannot easily hide weapon caches that house complicated weapon systems and c) probably Israel and USA already have bought off many of those mid management commanders that knew about the weapons caches

Depends if they’re Sunni or Shia and depends on which country, and if they know the other people are truly zealous religious fundamentalist fanatics with firearms, then best get away if the other sect is coming, or stand and fight, or pretend to be a Sunni and practice Taqiyya and act like its all good. But that’s when the militants may stop you, start asking you about what sect or what religion you’re from, look at your ID, start looking at your whole name, what neighborhood you live in, listen to your accent, way you speak, look at you, and they might determine that person isn’t actually a Sunni, and is a different ethnic person from them, that’s when they might get popped, robbed, kidnapped, whatever. Some Shia isn’t going to be too comfortable with some fundamentalist religious militants like 1S1S, who see them as “Rafida”, a heretic. At that point, best flee or grab your AK and stand and fight, or stay and hope nothing bad happens. Wouldn’t want something like the 2014 Camp Speicher, what happened there, because the Sunni fundamentalist came through, and the Shias were apparently chillin like its all good. Both are of same religion btw If one is a Yazidi, then they have little to no friends, best stand and fight, group up with somebody like the Kurds, or flee. Because pretty much nobody else will protect the Yazidis. The Yazidi religion is a no-no to the fanatical Mus, they don’t like their religion and will persecute them, as they’ve been persecuted since the 7th century. Like in Syria, I recall those Yazidis live in Rojava, because the SDF will protect them. The SNA and probably even HTS will go berserk on a Yazidi, simply because they are a Yazidi. If one is a Copt, better have an AK. Even in Syria or was it Lebanon, I recall a picture of a Christian priest with an AK while in church, that’s his protection for the people attending church. It seems like its pretty mandatory to have an AK in the Middle East, because if the fundamentalists with firearms come through, who will protect them. Lol, reminds me of Iraq when 60,000 Iraqi soldiers and federal policemen surrendered and abandoned Mosul in 2014 to a mere 1,500 militants. And 4,000 prisoners were boom-bopped by the fundamentalists.

Iran is very vulnerable without Hezbollah, because Hezbollah was kind of like Irans body guard, being next door it could attack Israel very quickly. Defence force's defend a country against groups that attack them, since 7th Oct thousands of missiles have been fired at Israel from Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis
@AquaAdventure-o5v3 күн бұрын
Israel's was at peace when Hamas, backed by Iran invaded Israel. Since then, Iranian-backed Hezbollah and Houthi rebels attacked Israel, followed by attacks directly from Iran. In short, Iran has orchestrated a war against Israel on multiple fronts. Israel working to defeat Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran seems like reasonable defense to me against Iranian adventurism. Given that Turkey worked to overthrow the Assad regime and has taken huge chunks of Syrian territory, that Saudi Arabia went to war in Yemen, which killed 400,000 people, or the United States invaded multiple countries after 9/11, I think Israel looks to be pretty restrained in its use of its military.

And what about Syria & new government?
@AdamDorfman823 күн бұрын
Sharia law, as taught by groups like Hamas, Iran, and potentially the new Syrian regime, raises critical questions regarding its reinterpretation of divine covenants and its claim to represent a true divine connection. Key Denials in Sharia Law: • Judaism’s Role in Divine Revelation: • 100% of the Old Testament authors were Jewish. • Jesus himself was Jewish. • 75% of New Testament authors, including Matthew, Mark, John, Paul, James, Peter, and Jude, were Jewish. • Christianity is fundamentally rooted in Judaism. Historical Disconnect: • The Qur’an references over 50 Jewish figures but reframes their stories, removing their Jewish identity. • It denies God’s covenants with the Jewish people and their contributions to sacred scriptures foundational to both Judaism and Christianity. Jesus’ Affirmation of Jewish Law: • In Matthew 5:17, Jesus declares: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” • Jesus emphasized making Judaism accessible to all, focusing on faith and righteousness while affirming the Torah’s values. Islam’s Theological Shift: • Islam introduced a theology claiming to supersede Judaism and Christianity, replacing God’s covenants with its interpretation. • This replacement theology dismisses the traditions and revelations central to the Jewish and Christian faiths. Sharia law, by denying these truths and reframing divine covenants, undermines the authenticity of God’s revelations. It replaces the historical and theological roots of Judaism and Christianity with a narrative disconnected from the original message, raising doubts about its claim to divine legitimacy
