He was received with great honours in Egypt and was treated in the most prestigious hospital in Cairo. Unfortunately his cancer was very advanced and he died. Nationalism shouldn't consume you when I say poor did not mean literally but metaphorically, when Western countries who benefitted Shah's friendship in energy and strategic alliance against Soviet Union didn't repay back reciprocally and Egypt did a noble thing, which benefited less or none. Although I'm aware he married once an Egyptian lady during King Faruq reign. There are poors who perform well during critical time or better than rich, that is what Egypt did.
