I just heard that Irene passed over yeasterday. God bless her for singing and entertaining the world with her talents. Hard to believe that she was black balled by the entertainment industry, that is a price she did not deserve to pay, and we paid but not see her talent.

Hi ! It's all very sad, such a dear and good singer left us, much too soon! I was 19 years old when I saw the film in the cinema, it shaped my time, it was the time when I got my driver's license, it was on the radio when I had my first driving lesson, I couldn't get up because of the beautiful song concentrate on driving, which made my driving instructor angry! :-)) All in all a very nice time, thank you Irene Cara for making us happy in the 80's with your songs. One of the best singers of the 80's has left us, Irene, you will always be in in our hearts and your music will continue to accompany us through life. Rest in peace dear Irene, your music was great, is great, and will always be great. Your music fills the hearts of many people. Thank you for everything dear Irene Cara! I think it was awesome that the breakdancers were included, as they are the ones who helped to originally brought what would become popular all through the 1980s & today popular & legendary. As the late great Michael Jackson said on his autobiography & told Oprah the street dancers aka breakdancers are the real dancers. I think it was great that both Irene & MJ allowed them to perform with them. She had it here on "Solid Gold" & MJ did on Beat It & other projects he had. 2 True legends, who were willing to allow others to share the spotlight with them!

When I see this video, Ms. Cara, it reminds me of more innocent times, ageless music, and pure creativity and genius. Thanks for being part of my life.
