This is fascinating! I had serious health issues holding me back for the past few years and had trouble with walking. No surprise: I gained a LOT of weight. I can walk now and Im ready to get moving but I also had this inkling that I must get up 'first thing' and go for a walk. Its great to hear that my intuition is correct. And yes, I still hear doctors saying 'dont eat butter' which is some of the worst bullshit ever. Thank you for being data based.

In such a small amount of time I can see a difference in how I feel and look! Scale is moving again with no other dietary changes. Thanks ladies for giving us your time and wisdom.

I am curious what both of your opinion is on the idea of different chronotypes? I have been a 'nightowl' for as long as I can remember and the thought of actually getting up with the sunrise just sound unbearable to me. As far as I understand there is some pretty good scientific evidence on the fact that there are different chronotypes and some people just naturally like to go to bed later. I've read enough of Gabor Mate's books to know I should be skeptical when science claims that these kind of things are inherent and genetic though so I'd love to hear your thoughts!

How long do you need to stay outside in the sunrise light? If it is raining, can I stand under my patio roof? Or must I be immersed in it. How much skin must be exposed to benefit? Are face & hands enough in winter, or not? I live in Australia, & the sun has been demonised because of the high rates of skin cancers in this country. We are especially told to stay out of the sun from 10am until 3pm. So what’s the advice please? How long should red light therapy be per day, & how much per side of body? I have a panel. I disagree with your comment about tanning beds, at least here in Australia. I know people who have had serious melanomas & are constantly getting skin cancers removed who have never used tanning beds or lights. Their cancers are definitely from the Australian sun. I know people who’ve died from them. Maybe in other parts of the world you’re correct, but not here in Australia where the sun is very, very harsh, & can be extremely damaging.

@@Ladylore9. what’s the difference between sunrise and UVA rise?
@Ladylore9.12 күн бұрын
@@IAmHisBeloved5 from what I understand, during sunrise you are getting specific rays but - UVA rays don’t start until about an hour after - give or take (it’s been a while since I’ve done my circadian rhythm app! I highly recommend the app it helped me so much because it notifies you of sunrise, sunset, UVA/UVB rise and set, and so much more) hope this helps!

Sarah, metabolizing 100 grams of fat yields approx 100g of Metabolic water, which is more than the 60g of metabolic water from carb metabolism and more than the 40g of metabolic water from protein metabolism. But must we be in Ketosis to metabolize fats into metabolic water?

I use a Day Light lamp everyday for 20 min in the morning to protect me from S.A.D. in the winter. The years I have used it steadily are the years I don't get the S.A.D. Would you consider this type of lamp harmful in any way?

Are you stressed in any way? Any traumas? That will keep fat on more then anything
@IAmHisBeloved512 күн бұрын
Same question as Amanda: are you stressed? Having high cortisol throughout the day leads to other imbalanced hormones. Which makes it difficult to lose weight. Maybe look into adaptogens (Astragalus, Holy Basil, Rhodiola, Shisandra) to see which ones you could use to support your body by helping your body adapt to stress.

Question: In the nordic countries, the sun rises in the middle of the night. Is it important to get up and get outside during this time? Or do you just go outside when you wake up at any time and go outside then?

For the last couple of decades i ve tried n tried to find some bakance in this absolutely insane climate and circadian environment in finland (yes, i ve lived most of my life here, but after all these 45years the situation is same its always been for me: this just doesnt work out). Its either 20hrs of daylight or 20hrs of pitch dark. This is not a place for a human to survive, let alone thrive 😬😬😬
