Jab koi hindustan me paida huva ,pala badha taleem pai,par batware me Pakistan ka ho Gaya to vah keval Pakistan ka shaksh nahi Raha ,vah poori duniya ka shanshah e mousiki ho Gaya , Aise hi jiye janab mehdi Hassan saheb jinhone apni mousiki, gaiyki,aur clasical mousiki ke khuda rahe। Unki gayi har gazal, thumri, gana , lazavab Raha, Unka vafat duniya ko bahut badi dard bhara aur Kali jagah kabhi nahi bharne vali ho gai। Mohabbat karne vale to Kam na honge ,Teri mehfil me ham na honge। Ab koi mehdi Hassan nahi hoga , Allah unki rooh ko pursukoon atta farmaye ।

I have a confession to make about our Pakistani artists. I had some opportunities to attend private presentations by a few iconic singers in Canada in 1970s. I being a great admirer of these singers felt that I wish I hadn’t personally attended their performances. So much hollowness, so much inter jealousy so much dark side. And when they appear in public together so much hypocrisy.
