Good review. I have this same one. Its a backup so it's not installed yet.

I like that inverter but not the remote. Do you happen to know if you can simply cut the wires on the remote cable and hook them to a standard switch? Cheap electronic switch in the remote could be unreliable long term where a simple switch could be replaced.

It's a good price, but is it true sine wave? You should test it. I bought one online and they called it sine wave and it was a modified sine.

Yes I tested it, had to borrow a friends meter but I do need to buy one for reviews like this in the future :)

My meter says 60hz (modified gives weird results on my meter) at 120.4 volts.

Do you know if the remote is waterproof. I only ask because I am building a portable generator and the remote would be cool on the outside of the generator Thank you for a great video of do you know the wait of this inverter

Its not water proof but it is pretty well sealed up

Great review. Thanks. Thinking to get one myself. Is it a true pure sine? Have you tested it?

So you have that hooked up to your battery...which you hook up to your solar panels/controller?

Yes

How is the input voltage 53v? Then goes to 12v? Does the input voltage not matter? Was thinking about doing 24v instead of 12 is why im asking. Thanks.

Could I hook this up to my car battery and power the frig/freezer during short term power outage?
@Iridium2423 ай бұрын
Yes that is one way you could do it.

@@Iridium242 That is good news, since I do not have a solar system to replenish a battery. Any recommendations or concerns of using alligator clips on the battery terminals?

Does this have an overload protection circuit other than the fuse on the internal board? What happens if you hook up something that the inverter can't handle?

this thing doesnt have a ground lug and i get a open ground message on my outlet circuit tester. Vevor is slow to with support

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble! I'm not sure what the solution would be but I hope you get it figured out.

@Iridium242 do you know where the fuse is? Mine blew the fuse and we cannot find it to replace it.

Could you conect the remote and run the inverter under a heavy load and see what it shows. Mine shows green, until it gets a load and then it turns red. This does not fit with my battery monitor which shows the battery could carry the load for another 12 hours. When you disconnect the load, the monitor turns green again. Battries arec2 x 100amp lithium batteries. Load I used was 1600 watts ...kettle.

Usually when the icon turns red on my monitor, it is because the ohms are too high. ie cables are too small, load is too high for the output of the battery. I use 4 gauge cables and high draw batteries to prevent that.

Well how's it holding up

How much does this inverter consume without load?Ty
