At risk of offending the green cup club, that shape is what the Stanley Adventure Camp pot should have been. I've never understood why they chose to make it top heavy and precarious on some stoves. The handle and lid are great and it's possible to mod the handle to function like a bail. That might be possible with the iBasingo also.

I haven't found the shape to be a problem. What is nice is that I can nest the pot inside a metal cup because of the shape.

Wish someone would make it so the handle will stay latched up top so you can hang your pot above the fire

Just put this in my cart. Thought it might be a lighter replacement for my stanley in my get home bag. Thanks for review. Changed out to firebox nano titanium. Trying to drop 3 to 4 pounds in bag wieght.

Hope to get one of these in a few months, mostly for a drinking cup…

could you measure the diameter at the bottom ? (not top lip) I am looking for something at 9CM exactly to fit my already made cone (3.54 inch)
@snickerdoodle71883 жыл бұрын
I bought it because of the larger flat bottom which sits on my Firebox Nano ti.

I am a big fan of the Stanley adventure cook set, one of the things I like about it was you could nest it inside a stainless steel cup like the 5 buck one from Wally world. You said the base of this titanium one is a bit wider, can you nest it in such a cup?
@Iridium2425 жыл бұрын
It will fit in that cup, tried that as well.

Some time ago I purchased 3 buckets of Wise foods. To me, every packet no matter the title tasted the same. From a chicken dish to turkey even Italian, the same spices are used. I'm glad taste tasted. I would have been very disappointed in a shtf. Sold off the unopened buckets. I stick with Mountain House. Best all around flavor , texture and smell. MH has NEVER disappointed.

I will have to try another one, this is probably the only wise packet I have tried, it was old too but it was not bad. Will have to test them out more.

A couple years ago I saw this video and ordered it, but in my opinion wasn't that impressed, however today I gave it another look when I made a connection in my head of how I could use it. I'm planning on using it in my get hiking/survival, get-home-bag with the handle reversed so I can put the lid in it's mesh bag underneath it so I can nest my greyle geopress inside. Now by itself it is too loose, as the geopress will nest nicely in a stanley 2cup pot but I have a sleeve for mine from campcraft that is made to use as a milbank bag and that adds enough thickness that its hard to nest in a stanley but fits nice and snug in my ibasingo/boundless voyage pot. Just wanted to share this discovery.

Good review man. Ive got bigger items to drop before i worry about saving 3 oz lol. I do know some gram weenies that would totally go for it tho.

I like it, for shure, but 30 bucks just for a 900 ml pot, it's too expensive for my budget...
@Pytte5 жыл бұрын
thats actually in the cheaper end for a titanium pot this size..
@abc123def984 жыл бұрын
Does it nest in a cup? Surprised you didn’t show that, as that’s one of the most popular things many of use with our Stanley.
@craigbetts15865 жыл бұрын
I've picked up a titanium pot and fry pan to lighten the pack for hiking but I still use my Stanley one too but this is a good replacement for anyone who's into light weight hiking and same as Mountain House a little less water than what they say to use is what I find with these freeze dried meals

Can a nalgene bottle nest inside this titanium pot?
@Iridium2425 жыл бұрын
Its a very tight fit, I would not do it as it was hard to get it in there and out, It was one of the first things I tried. :)
@misolgit693 жыл бұрын
sorry wrote that before I got far enough into the vid I thought maybe you misread also I have seen some of the Heavy Cover/Keith titanium canteen sets also marked iBasingo I suspect using different labels might be an attempt to incease sales ?
@tristanvarsovia4 жыл бұрын
Will a 32 oz Nalgene bottle nest in it? Also, I reckon that there are iBasingo titanium bottles out there, which one will nest inside the pot?
@yarivhaguel3 жыл бұрын
can the gas canister fit into the pot?
@misolgit693 жыл бұрын
it's a Boundless Voyage not iBasingo although they might be the same 'group' btw the Boundless Voyage 1050ml titanium water bottle will fit in there with a little wiggle room

Thanks for the great review. I like my Stanley pot but the design narrows at the bottom so many stove-pot holders don’t work. They make a 900 ml version too I found out. What make is your stove? I like it.
@Iridium2423 жыл бұрын
the stove was some no name brand I found online, tested it and it turned out I really liked it You can see it here www.amazon.com/dp/B004YLU6O6?ref=exp_iridium242_dp_vv_d and thanks for watching!
@duncanidaho20973 жыл бұрын
@@Iridium242 -thanks! I found out that your test unit, the only model they make in the Stanley design is the 900 ml. Looks small to me. I appreciate your presentation in your videos makes them more engaging.
