Iris Scott makes each of her paintings - some of which are 8 feet tall - without using any brushes. All she uses are her fingertips and a pair of gloves. Some of her paintings can sell for over $40,000. She showed us what it takes to be a professional finger painter, and we learned why her artwork can sell for so much.

Oil paints at that, jesus christ even the cheap oil paints are expensive. I don't think it would be a stretch to say that there's about $400-$600 worth of paint on the canvas, let alone how much that big ass canvas would cost. If I was rich I'd shell out a shit ton of money for that painting. It's beautiful.

Once... I messed my pour painting and I turned it to some rainy season painting with my fingers.... That was fun...Your fingers exactly do what mind tell... The direct connection with canvas felt awesome.... I thought painters rarely do finger painting... I've seen charcoal painters paint with hand... But in acrylics and oil...am inspired!!! Let me continue my finger painting too!!!

Many many years ago I paid for studio time at the local art academy. No one understood why I loved painting with my bare hands. At the time, I didn't use gloves because I absolutely loved the feel of the paint on my hands, especially when I touched the canvas. It was therapeutic... and this may sound corny, but I felt connected to the canvas. Unfortunately I've been out of the art scene since then... life... ya know. Anyway. Words can not express the sheer joy I feel in watching this video. Finally. I don't feel alone with the artistic style that I love and miss so very much. I'm inspired and looking forward to one day being in a space where I can paint again! Deepest gratitude to Iris Scott and those that chose to upload this video💖
