Nice video! But the banjo and the bouzuki are wrong! The banjo played here is called "Tenor Banjo" which onky has 4 strings, not 5 like the one in the video, and it's commonly tunned in GDAE. The bouzuki is different from the greek one as well.

such a great video thanks I want to ask if you please? why some instruments are melody only? and others are melody and accompaniments? what's the difference among them?
@gimom075 жыл бұрын
Melody only means it plays the melody, or main tune, of the song. Violins and flutes, for example, can only play one not at a time. Accompaniment means it supports the melody. Other instruments like the Uilleann pipes are able to play multiple notes at one time, so they can play drones, chords, and harmonies to accompany/support the melody, or they can play the melody with chords and harmonies.

@@gimom07 Violins can play up to 4 notes at a time (you can play multiple strings at once), but it's typical to only see them play one or two notes at once. it's actually fairly common in fiddle music to have a lower string essentially act as a drone, much like on a bagpipe, except it's possible for the drone to change pitch during the performance.

What about the bagpipe
@1888SEÁN6 жыл бұрын
There were other pipes besides the Uilleann pipes, "War pipes", but they became extinct once English rule came about and modern Highland Pipes are used in there place today. There is a theory that the Highland pipes originated from Ireland so as Gaelic clans in the highlands could play airs and marches prior to battles like the Irish Gaels did.

Musical instruments that are Irish: ALL OF THEM
@whatabouttheearth4 жыл бұрын
Well...the technical truth is they dont originate in ireland, all their older varients come from outside Ireland. These are Irish varients. Irish music is ber much in how amd what is played
