Not many will remember (I do because I am OLD) but the ORIGINAL flavor for Doritos was Taco flavor. I remember being on a Steamboat ride as a child and they were giving them out as samples and my mother told me I would not like them (she also told me that i would not like Dr. Pepper because it was hot...) oh she was SOOOOOO wrong (about both!) Never been able to eat Doritos as I did some work experience working at Retravision (an electrical retailer) in their electronic repair section and was asked to put in a new element in a toaster. When I opened it up there was a dead mouse cooked to the side of the element and the smell of that mouse is the same as the original Doritos, hence my nickname for them was always rat flakes.

I remember when Doritos came in 3 essential varieties. *"Nacho, **_Spicy_** Nacho, and Cool Ranch."* The differences were fairly minor (like seriously, what was the difference between 'Nacho' and 'Zesty', did the latter have a trace of lime to it? I don't recall them tasting all that different from each other.). I haven't tried all the new varieties, so I don't know if this old adage remains the case these days.

Salsa Verde, Guacamole, Cooler Ranch. Those three are the best. In that order. Salsa Verde and Guacamole mixed is like heaven, but they're rare. Everyone has to have a distinct favorite between Blue and Red, because if you ever played soccer in the US, after every game, some mom brought a box of chips, and some capri suns. My preference order was Cooler Ranch, then Cheetos, then Nacho Cheese, then Fritos last. It was just the 4 choices right?
