I'm "old" and when I was a kid. I used to get my fill of Tastykake every summer when we'd visit the grandparents in Atlantic City, NJ. That was enough for me for the year! They were okay at Gram's... but some things were better left "back east". I much preferred Entenmann's to Tastykake, and even to Hostess. Today's Tastykakes don't even taste the way I remember them from back then (1960's and 70's) Now James's Salt Water Taffy from the Boardwalk was another story! We got taffy twice a year-- during our summer trips to AC NJ, and at Christmas when Gram and Grandpa sent everyone their very own box. I remember sitting down in the family room with my brothers, swapping out the flavors that some other sibling liked but we didn't. I'd trade the licorice ones for someone else's wintergreen, or my molasses ones for lemon... same thing at Halloween! We all dumped our Trick or Treat haul in a big pile and we'd snap up our favorite stuff. The difference was, some things were everyone's favorite and if one kid got too greedy, there would be a fight! Ah, good times and good memories!

Tastykakes are America's last quality cake. Unlike Hostess cakes, which were raped, miniaturized , and turned in to over priced Little Debbie sugar and flour bombs, Tastykakes are Superior. I had to go there at least twice for mandatory field trips during school. :( As for what's good here...hiking. Pretty, pretty, woods and waterfalls. You just have to go into the absolute middle of nowhere to find it, and then hope someone's made a good map of where you're going, because the trail markings can be iffy.

Try living in NW Pa, it's really cold here! Bradford is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, we have 5 factories, we're the home of Zippo lighters, Case Knives and Kendall Motor oil. It's definitely an acquired taste. Some peanut butters I have tried were really salty and I didn't really like that but then I found a shops own brand one which doesn't have excess salt or any other additives, just peanuts and little salt. That's really good and I love pb & jelly sandwiches now.

I am a Philadelphian who lives in Ireland. First, they had to have those shipped because they do not sell them here. Second, they got squished half of them. Third, while I do not enjoy all tastykake, I will forever love my krimpet. And lastly, nearly all of the small cakes, whether queen cakes or butterfly or what have you, all are sickening sweet in Ireland. But biscuits are nice. So thats my take on it. Its really what you grew up with and how your taste developed.

Gotta agree about tastykake. Imagine a low rent little Debbie. The imagine something worse. They have to spell kake with a K in case they might be sued by someone thinking they were going to eat actual cake.

Yeah, it's all just sugar and processed flour in different shapes. It's all about what you grew up with. My kids got a taste for tamarindo candy from my wife and I can't stand the stuff.

When it comes to the little chocolate donuts (and all the other little donuts too) Little Debbie is the low rent version of Tasty Kake. Little Debbie donuts are bland and dry compared to the consistently fresh cake and rich flavors Tasty Kake puts out. Are there a ton of unhealthy preservatives to make that awesomeness happen? Probably. But when you buy this crap you have to expect that sort of thing.

Sad that for click purposes, Facts is resorting to bringing in snacks that THEY already hate to eat. Ok. Ok. Ok. We get it. You guys don't like peanut butter. Hey producers! How about letting them try Chocolate Juniors or Coconut Krimpets. Debbie Downer and dude that HATES everything should NOT be part of the panel. Rant over. One less viewer won't hurt you guys. I personally like the Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes, and the Krimpets. I went to Ireland a few years back, and there's obviously a difference in the taste of foods. We have different water, we have different environments ( grass, soil, minerals, etc). I went to a restaurant there and ordered a steak, med-rare... it came out boiled and grey. I honestly did not have one good meal there except for an Italian place I had a pizza at in Dublin, The food in Dun Laoghaire was horrible. Its different palates, different cultures. (I'm Irish by the way, citizenship and all). I love your videos, I have probably watched them all twice.
