I’m from Trinidad 🇹🇹 & grew up having this. The bakery that sold it called it “Russian”. Many evenings my grandmom would pick me up a slice on her way from work. I’m 32 now & that bakery, unfortunately, closed a couple years ago 😭 Couldn’t be happier that I found this recipe & that it’s so easy to make. Will definitely be trying soon so I could finally satiate this craving! Haha

I want a piece. There was a bakery in Stoneybatter many years ago that made the best Tipsy cake. There were chunks of all types of cake in it.
