It’s like that Chinese propaganda where Chinese people go to other countries (like Cuba), get accosted by gangsters, but then pulls out their Chinese passport and suddenly the gangsters begin kowtowing to them because of “how strong” it is. There was also apparently a movie/propaganda where the hero and a group of refugees need to pass through a war zone. So the hero wraps the Chinese flag around his arm and all the fighting stops out of fear of retaliation.

There's copycats and they are from China and also doing the same shit in South Korea? I don't think Chinese are that dumb, entitled or suicidal and wouldn't do it just for clout and few scrap donations from online haters. Of course china has 1400 million people so there will of course be some exceptions but in expecting they are mentally ill and not just chasing clout online and scrap change. Most importantly China is a collectivist society instead of individualistic like USA/west and so shame/honor etc plays a big part in deterring such dishonorable/disgraceful acts. They could also be from the hk or Taiwan parts of China or something that grew up with basically western/US values instead of traditional Chinese ones, and they might think that Chinese gov can't or won't also punish them even harder than the other countries gov for making Chinese and China look bad in front of the whole world(at least those in HK, if they are from Taiwan then it will probably be harder for Chinese gov to get to them and won't be worth starting diplomatic incident or even war over some moron lol). But even those from Chinese from Taiwan will have parents, grandparents etc and the same cultural/Confucian/collectivist values, and at the very least they will try to limit fallout towards their family and friends back home who will be dissed by all the aunties and uncles and elders for raising such a disgrace and embarrassment if their identity was revealed to the whole world. and if they are a 24/7 online streamer, it's gonna be literally impossible to hide your identity and protect your family and friends from the heat that doing such actions will bring to them. If anything the Taiwan gov themselves would probably also not tolerate such behavior and arrest or punish him even without china needing to do anything since they are also Chinese. It's mainly the young kids who lack values and shame, but too bad for them those in power are usually older and more conservative and won't tolerate this kind of nonsense.

What pisses me off is every clip we see him talking to korean authorities in english, he talks in the most broken english possible. He only went to countries he knew were more relaxed (I doubt he'd go to somewhere like here in Brazil were he knows he'd get the beating of his life and do all this), and even after getting jumped back in Japan, and being under surveillance by israeli police, he still didn't learned his lesson; Thankfully the korean authorities seemed to probably already have a knowledge of his historic, and considering how even more disrespectful he was there, are being even less lenient. The emergency passport is useless and void. This is different from having a duplicate passport which is a thing here in Europe, where I have 2 valid passports from the same country with different numbers and used if someone is travelling a lot for example or cannot show certain country stamps for entry and political reasons. The sad reality is I can promise you that he will have turned some of these locals racist and it's not really their fault. Johnny stands out in a homogeneous Korean crowd, and not for all, but for many of these people their lived experience will be, "No I have never met a black person, but I saw one in public once, and because of that I don't think I ever would like to." This is why his behavior needs to be taken super seriously because he doesn't just represent himself, but to a degree he also represents black people, he represents men, and he represents Americans. And he is discrediting all three of these groups and making them look awful.

One thing about Korea is that public sentiment actually goes a long way towards influencing things like this. I lived there for a few years and there was a pretty famous incident where this creep followed a girl home. She shut her apartment door and, thanks to the fact that most apartment doors in the korea are the self-locking kind with the key pad, the door locked literally less than a second before the guy grabbed the door handle to try and follow her inside. The outrage was so huge that the guy's charges were upgraded to attempted r@pe. I don't remember what the outcome of the case was but I know that's what he was charged with. There were also two more incidents, one where a woman got angry and threw a puppy at someone at a pet shop or groomers or something like that (puppy was okay) and another where some adoptive parents unalived their toddler daughter. In both cases the public sentiment really influenced the charges/outcome.

She had to quit all her schedules including a show she was in the middle of filming and then run away and hide for like a year or so after apologizing. And this is a Korean woman who was a HUGE celebrity. He definitely won't get immunity and I'm sure that the U.S will do absolutely 0 to step in for this guy.

From my understanding, he's looking at 20 years minimum, but it could very well go into Life time imprisonment, due to how the Korean law system works from my understanding. Every single person who had a run in with him (there are ALOT), can then add their complaints to the list, which will make him a repeat offender, and greatly bump up his time for every single one, since they were all independent.

You must be new here. Atozy is known for lazy journalism and rampant misinformation (for example, using a lousy ai translation of a female korean for news instead of hiring an actual translator BECAUSE IT COULD MAKE THE VID PUBLISH LATE AND MAKE HIM LESS MONEY).

That man is as annoying as Somali. He is part of the Bleeding Hearts people that always want to excuse the behaviour of this people and give them another chance. Pandering to them. Bloody annoying.

This guy is the only person that's ever made me want other countries police to be more like American police. Can you imagine what would happen if some idiot came to the US and tried to do this kind of stuff? They would be lucky if it was the police that got them. Also can't the US just like rescind his American citizenship or something?

Legal minds said in Korea that a public defender doesn’t have to take his case. It’s different over there from here.
@npcimknot958Ай бұрын
Very different. It’s not even close to the movies, not even close to the priveldge americans have. And it’s completely useless in another country.

As often happens in the States, legal authorities can only bring criminals to justice by going after their financial resources. That's one of the reasons the U.S.government created RICO laws. In Somali's case, while there is myriad empirical evidence to support the charges he is facing, Korean authorities are in a position to launch thorough, and TIME-CONSUMING, investigations into Somali's criminal activity. While those investigations are active, Somali is prevented from legally working in South Korea. No doubt an individual with Somali's pathology will find ways around that prohibition, but, he will not be raking in the kind of dough he's accustomed to, he will find it difficult to afford daily living expenses, and, most significantly, he will be hindered in purchasing the services of a top-notch lawyer to defend him. If he can even find one willing to defend him. I'm wondering, who sponsored his videos? Where is his income coming from? We should be boycotting those companies, and letting them know why we're boycotting them. The unfortunate truth is, money talks. Let's speak up. Loudly.

@thetreeleggedman9444Ай бұрын
Yeah the face is really something. I guess it's not the face itself, it's the emotion or more so the lack of that behind it. He reminds me of antagonist little shits in primary school. Spoilt little kids that always got what they wanted at home and thought that shit would fly in the playground.
