Marshal's anthem couldn't be casted, because targets are illegal thanks to dom's silent gravestone. But mistakes happens all the time :)

Actually it can. The trigger won't do anything, but the enchantment will still enter the battlefield normally.

Knollspine Dragon wouldn't have been able to draw the Iroas player that many cards, as the opponent that took the damage was already dead and couldn't have been the target(!) of its ability (it's an old card and doesn't have new templating that might have worked).

I have a persistant petitioners deck but with zur leading them. I had taken notes from Jumbo commander but i added in stuff that locks out big creatures like meek stone amd tax effect essentially becoming pillow fort.

Okay guys, hear me out. I built my petitioners deck bluegreen piloted by Tishana. I like green for the untap effects like seedborn Muse, quest for Renewal, murkfiend liege. Also get to use fun cards like kindred summons and wild pair. Ramp crazy with harvest season and salvage a successful boardwipe with creeping Renaissance. Tishana is there just to refill my hand and be a decent blocker

Nice idea. Have you tried including Doubling Chant? Search the City? Sphinx of the Chimes? Faces of the Past? I am planning to build one too but have no commander choice yet.

@@Ianoxen Doubling Chant! That card was originally on my radar when I built the deck but it slipped through the cracks at some point and I forgot about it. Definitely worth picking up. Interesting idea with those blue same name cards as well.

so um... doesn't Angel of Jubilation stop pain lands from working? "players can't pay life or sacrifice creatures to cast spells or activate abilities." It doesn't say "unless they are mana abilities" which most cards usually do. Nonetheless, great game as usual!!

That stops lands like Mana Confluence and fetchlands, but not ones that deal damage like City of Brass and Adarkar Wastes.

5 mistakes. Angel of jubilation stops people from using fetch lands. The wheel of fate tax was missed. Combat Celebrant was untapped by mistake. The marshals anthem was a mistake. I didn't know he had the grave hate out. Knollspine dragon was a huge error.
