thanks for this. I think there's room for improvement - technically this can be avoided by design. I guess this will be something that gets improved in upcoming models.

I've done all these steps (except full factory reset, which will be next) and none of them worked. The strange thing is, if I have the app open, and start Roomba manually, it will show up on my app as 'vacuuming'. As soon as it finishes and goes back home, it disconnects again and doesn't send me the notification it's done.

Interesting what kinds of errors there are ... Hm. Maybe the notifications are off in the general settings of the phone?

@@IsabellaMaria15 Nope I've checked that also. This all started after I got a new router, but the router sees the Roomba clearly, knows exactly what kind of device it is. I have deleted it and re-added to the router, I have reinstalled the app 3 times, nothing works. Thanks.

My Shark AI robot hasnt even done its exploring cycle before giving me this Error 14 message. Wtf

The build-up of dust before the dustbin is a serious nuisance - and a comparatively easy design fix. I've only had this error twice in the very beginning. Hasn't occured ever since. Hope it will run smoothly now.

@@IsabellaMaria15 mine hasnt even collected any dust though. And according to my manual, error 14 is position error. Some kind of "magnetic boundary" that i cant seem to alleviate. Even if i put it on the opposite end of my house to the charging stand. Cleaned all my sensors. Cleaned what little fust built up in the dust bin (not from the robot collecting any, mind you.) Same problem.

I saw the magnetic boundary issue with other robots reported www.robotreviews.com/chat/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=20320. There are cliff sensors on the bottom of the robot homesupport.irobot.com/s/article/525, and they are also supposed to detect the magnetic bands that they sell as an accessory to mark off out-of-bounds areas. Now if your house has such magnetic fields from some installed devices of some other sort underneath the flooring then this would be detected the same way like an out-of-bounds area and the robot won't cross over. I saw a workaround with sticking masking tape (ideally one that comes off easily like the one used to cover switches before you paint) over the cliff sensors. Could be worth a try. Let me know if you tried and/or if it worked. Curious.
