iron banner made me erupt (ft. trophy hunter) » Season of the Wish PvP

was pretty not warmed up for these ones and the iron banner matchmaking, while not uneventful can be extremely awful to get gameplay in, especially when you kinda get a bunch of SEA teams with 400 ping and perfect meta builds screaming callouts so loud they evacuate the entire pc bang

I still think there was plenty of commentary tbh, you had an opening idea, gameplay reflected that, and then you explained that gameplay before and after the plays. Honestly one of the goats of live commentary imo.

Furthermore, commentary doesn't have to be transformative in so much as you explain every step, but rather general commentary that allows us to understand your headspace when entering/exiting engagements provides us with a way to train ourselves to perform better imo.

God, I feel you on that whole "I can't tell if I'm making bad plays now" thing. I lose so many engagements and barely ever hit 30 defeats a match anymore. Yet back in Forsaken, Shadowkeep, hell, even Beyond Light, I would drop 40 and 50 bombs nearly every match and just dominated lobbies. I don't get it, but I continue playing anyways lmao

Two things. 1. I REALLY like the fact that you ran Trophy Hunter here because I've never seen that sniper in action before. 2. I like how you sound so done with PvP. I mean you are relating to most of the playerbase right now. Like SBMM or just this mode in general just absolutely sucks. And you're right about the score. You and the enemy have just about the same kills and you barely see anyone popping off nowadays. And when they do, the matchmaking isn't really fair. It's terrible.
