A tragedy to be sure. The story potential for Iron Hands is enormous. If GW and their writers are too risk averse to write for the Iron Hands and their current successor chapters, the very least they can do is create a new successor chapter for them and focus on that new chapter.

They really deserve more attention. The Shattered Legions, imo, did the most damage to traitors in terms of their functionality. Maybe not the most casualties, but they caused the most problems. IH successors are great! Stories with them can be great, a constant internal struggle with accepting their biological side or putting faith in machine. Ferrus’ inner truth at wishing to free his sons from their reliance on other forces beyond their own biologics.

The Iron Hands is really my favorite Legion on the Loyalist side. I like how their flaws are shown but as always, their lore had been destroyed by GW. I wonder when would the Iron Hands get a new lore. Among the scions of the Gorgon, my ultimate favorites are the Iron Hands and Brazen Claws.

So I had a thought, what if the "warp entities" that were used to birth the primarchs when the outer "shell" is gone it frees the warp entity and it becomes the "chromatic kings" like the sapphire king? I know that Constantine valdor is the yellow king but he might also be possibly be one as well since we don't know what all goes into making a custodes Edit: I retract my entire theory as I got half way through the video it is clear various things are "chromatic kings"
