Thats awesome my wife and i were seats 13 and 14 right. In the center of the center section row c it couldnt have been more perfecti stood most of the show i couldnt believe how great the sound was ive been singing and playing guitar for 35yrsive been fan since 1980 first seeing maiden live in 81 on the world killer tour they were awesome then and there iconic legends now

For those who don't know. The lead singer will typically have monitors that display the lyrics to ensure he won't screw them up. If any of these monitors go out, the lead singer might not want to dare and butcher the lyrics, specially for a song they don't often play. This is probably what happened during the first verses for "Where Eagles Dare". Seems like throughout the song also. But it could also have been his ear monitor which he also needs to hear the instrumentals better, timers and his own voice.

anacrobat89 Bruce does not use monitors for lyrics. Only ear monitors. And it seems the issue with them continued througout the concert. He didn’t sing the songs as he used to. Sung the lines really fast, skiping words etc.. Shit happens even for Maiden. Up the Irons 🤘🏻

Yea, he explained what happened. He couldn't hear where they were in the song and didn't start on time. In his words it sounded "like a cement mixer".

I was there i was like omg biggest heavy metal band biggest tour 17 thousand people and its all fucked up ive been a maiden fan since 1980 when i was 14 thats 39 hardcore ys im 53 with arespect for this band that no other comes close they plowed right through the mistake. I was there row C on the end left side of section 102. Although this video is awesome, it doesn’t do the show justice. This show was fucking amazing. Seems like these guys get better with age. They just fucking destroyed it. For those of you waiting to see this, you are in for one hell of a show! Also, my neck is sore today, as it should be. I’d definitely see this again if I could.

I saw Iron Maiden open for Judas Priest in 1982, Maiden's Beast tour and Priest Vengeance tour, 3rd row floor and tripping on acid, gotta love the 80's.

Jason Smith The reason why the house lights don’t come on immediately is to give the band time get in their vehicle and get a head start on the traffic leaving the venue. Eddie Trunk has stated this from personal experience.

I'm guessing whatever he was using to keep track of time and monitor when to come on stage wasn't working properly. Tho my second guess is that he was having trouble with the costume maybe. But truth be told, the world may never know.

I was in Mansfield on Thursday and the real fans are further back and on the lawn... people in front are mostly people who are not huge maiden fans...I was on the lawn and we all were yelling screaming singing along and head banging! It was awesome.
