Lyrics:
How do you read a madman’s mind
Teach me the art of war
For I shall bring more
Than you bargained for
Give me an ultimatum
That I could not dream of
Spills of a crying nation
Upon my soul
For I have not a mortal soul
That you already know
Look at my eyes
There’s no surprise
Ocean is black the devil’s track
Looking beyond beneath the sea
Eye of the storm is here again
Been there before you were ever born
Beyond the dark I feel the pain
It’s hidden but I can’t explain
A cross to bear
A heavy faith
My sorrow whispers
Time again
I hear you calling my name
Come to claim my life again
Pray for me I’m almost there
The pain almost too much to bear
I try to find my way back home
To feel the same again
The voice of nothing
Listened far too long
Little by little eat away
I think I’ve lost my mind
Too late to change now
What I left behind
Hear me listen my call
I am ready to fall
Lord hear me now - let me go
Ocean is black the devil’s track
Looking beyond beneath the sea
Eye of the storm is here again
Been there before you were ever born
Beyond the dark I feel the pain
It’s hidden but I can’t explain
A cross to bear
A heavy faith
My sorrow whispers
Time again

UP THE IRONS NOW AND EVER ! ! ! But , let me say, outta here there are folks and folks that had to sacrifice themselves far more than them, people starving, people who can't arrive at the end of the month, even middle and upper class people who tried to change things for good and got busted or killed or died for the stress of trying to change things, being generous and brave. And the real victim in Iron Maiden ( not OF, i'm not blaming the rest of the band) is Clive Burr. BTW IN MORE OCCASIONS I PRAISED THE BRAVERY OF I.M. FOR EXAMPLE FOR DENOUNCING WHAT A METAL ( BUT EVEN A POP) BAND, BACK IN THE ( PRE-INTERNET) DAY, COULDN'T HAVE EVEN NAMED, WITH THE VIDEO OF TWO MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT ( indeed, the old school fans might remember the picture in the backcover of TMtM single: the band members to the wall with a black strip in their eyes, waitng to be shoot, i.e. what they risked in case a serious dictatorship worse than Tatcher should have happened, it is an ep of 1984) ,AND I PUBLICLY PRAISED THEIR BRAVERY FOR WRITING ON THE WALL'S CARTOON VIDEO THAT PUTS YOU BEFORE THE ACTUAL STATE OF THINGS. SO NOW PLEASE AVOID THE SHIT STORM PEOPLE. I LOVE MAIDEN AND I'M INTO THEM SINCE '88, I WAS IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. IN CASE OF INSULTS I'M NOT EVEN ANSWERING.

@mixedmattaphors
@mixedmattaphors 3 жыл бұрын
@@johnathan_dunn It was just some of the (obvious) symbolism, to me. You don't have to like Donald Trump, at all, to not be a fan of the woke, obviously, but it was a pretty big thing to see that they clearly used an image of him, as the "bad guy," with the European guys serving him, as some kind of Tyrant. Then, there was a very, very obvious shot of a hipster guy with glasses, looking very woke, being one of the poor, put-down masses, i. e., the unquestioned "good guys." Which, again, I get, wokeish hipster dudes are just as put down by the government as anyone else, but it seemed very pro-one-side and very much, symbolically, against anything not Leftish. Plus, Iron Maiden in interviews unskeptically referring to "C*****," etc. And then the image of the guy who is vaporized, who is the spitting image of exactly who the woke would put up as the ultimate victim. I don't know, I just don't know. The Vibe, the image, was very much, "These are the bad guys, that the Media tells you to hate, and if we were all just woke, we could have a dance party." I mean, I think it's this close to Iron Maiden telling people, "If you don't get the j**, then f**** you," which is not metal.

It became more and more difficult to listen to those registers on the last two albums as he really had to strain sometimes. He sounds so damn great in the low, middle and upper middle range. That’s where he shines nowadays. Plus, he can still throw in some really high notes and sound better on those. Both new songs so far had some more relaxed parts for Bruce and sounded great. Awesome!

@@ManuelMoreno-yw4lf I also don't hear the similarities. I would not call anybody hearing them stupid or anything, since anybody has their own perception, but the "chords" etc. cannot be the reason, because that is something Maiden is doing on repeat since the 80s (which I like). To me, it just blends in to the entire "after reunion"-style in general. Exactly what I thought. It's like Kevin records that sound that it's pretty much what they'll do live, knowing that they will rock the shit out of it when they go on tour. To me it's like with Martin's 80s records was better than live (soundwise speaking), now with Kevin they make a good record but we all know that live on tour will be better! And that is smart, because with all the piracy and ways to get the music free, their best way to really profit is with concerts... and there is nothing better than being at a Maiden's concert... Up the f'n Irons! 🤘

There is such an amazing mix of past records in this song. Powerslave, Seventh, and Brave. OMG I cannot wait to get the whole record, and I cannot wait to throw up the irons when they come to America on the next tour. Maiden is still the greatest band in the world, and that they are still making incredible new music, makes me so thankful. Irons Up!

Steve Harris knew it well that whoever says what, Janick Gers is irreplaceable in the band. He always gives a unique feel & super melody to the songs. Each of his writings, compositions and solos goes through the heart and surely come out to be a big hit! Harris is a genius and so he kept Gers even after Adrian's return. And here is the result! Love Gers!! ❤️🤘
