*This is the project I started to plan with one of my closest friends Miha Ferk - classical saxophonist, composer and arranger - already back in 1999. Yes, in the year 1999* Back than we were playing together with Miha in a rock band named Steelworkers. Among other repertoire we also played songs by Iron Maiden. At the same time, we were both also devoted members of the wind orchestra “Zelezarjev Ravne”. We were pretty much kids back then, but we were enthusiastic and had our dreams! We said: “Let´s play Iron Maiden with our orchestra!” But somehow at that point we were too young to make it happen. Years have passed, but the idea stayed in us for all these years. And then year 2016 happened and the orchestra Ravne got new openminded director who came with me in June 2016 to visit Miha who lives in Vienna and we went to Iron Maiden concert. The director was very impressed with the concert and in the same night after the concert we told him about our dreams from childhood! He said: “Make it happen now!” We were very surprised and didn´t know what to say. Few days later me and Miha went for a trip to England. We wanted to experience Iron Maiden at the Donnington Download Festival! On the way to the festival site a car crash happened and all the roads were closed so we decided to walk to the Donnington castle. We were walking for hours and hours and at the end we fortunately managed to come there before Iron Maiden started to play. All this time while walking we were talking about the childhood and our dreams and also about the offer of the orchestra director. It was suddenly clear! “We need to do this! We need to cross that project from our Bucket list! You Miha will do arrangement of few songs shaped in a concert piece.” “You Blaz will play drum set as soloist” And here it is! The piece called “Eddie na Koroskem” (which means Eddie visits Carinthia - Carinthia is the area where we both are coming from)! Enjoy! Listen to our MUSE Symphony: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKSooayAi6aKmtE Subscribe to our orchestra channel ( bit.ly/zelezarji ) and support our futures projects!

This is great. Symphony and/or orchestra aren't normally my type of music, and I was initially skeptical of the lack of guitars and abundance of flutes (or clarinets or whatever those are). But as soon as that you hit the peak of that Dance of Death crescendo, I just started grinning and knew that I was in. The whole show just kept getting better from there. Thanks for doing this! Also, if you plan on doing more of these, I think "When the Wild Wind Blows" and "The Red and the Black" would sound great.

This is so full of beauty and heartblood, I was almost shedding some tears (of the dragon, of course, although this was more Bruce's thing, na, anyway...). A very nice story though - I'm glad for you, you could make your dream come true: not many can achieve this! I tip my hat, sirs! And shame on anyone who let a thumps-down here - you people neither have ears, nor a heart!

Alright, I have been a maiden fan my whole life and this is on par with the originals if not better. Respect to everyone involved in this masterpiece. PS: The evil that men do part gave me goosebumps.

Stoyan, the whole arrangement was written by my good friend Miha Ferk. He is the heart/machine of this project. Thanks for the kind words and goosebumps :)

My sister caused me to get my Number of the Beast album taken away. She told our mom that I was listening to Satanic music. I have GOT to show her this!!! It's so beautiful!!!

They're not. It's how my sister perceived them. I think perhaps you misread my comment.

She walked into my room and heard Number of the Beast. She assumed that because it has 666 in the song that they're satanic, which caused my mom to freak out. She's closed minded.

Was really hoping that more of The Evil that Men Do would have been played. Yet, damn this is good music. Well done.
